A couple of people have told me my hub looks like Hugh Laurie. Personally, I don't see it. But....Hugh Laurie is one of my favorite actors! My daughter loves Johnny Depp. She also have a thing for Ryan Reynolds.

I´ll share part of my ever increasing list here. Out of the top of my head, and in no particular order:
Willem Dafoe Gérard Depardieu Daniel Auteuil Carmelo Gómez (unkown outside Spain) Steve Buscemi Hiroyuki Sanada Joaquin Phoenix Paul Giamatti Susan Sarandon Catherine Keener Hope Davis Shia LaBeouf Ewan McGregor Too many Golden Age actors and actresses to name them here. OH, and the complete cast of Little Miss Sunshine, in that particular movie. Greatest dramedy ever made IMHO.
But for some reason today Tim Roth and James Franco come to mind. oh and I love Vincent Price. And since The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Jay Baruchel. Yes indeed!
Apart from Nic, I tend to be drawn by directors rather than actors, though I can think of some specific performances which boggle and transfix me:
- Jonathan Pryce in 'Brazil' (hapless while retaining a sorry dignity, with manic small bursts of beetle-limbed ballet.) - Kate Winslet in 'Heavenly Creatures' (shriekingly lonely and quite unlike anything else she or anyone else has ever done.) - Thora Birch in 'Ghost World' (embodies the role with a subtlety that should have, by all rights, elevated her to stardom. Her career is testimony to the fact that life isn't fair.) - Phillip Seymore Hoffman in 'Magnolia' (a film which barrages you with great performances, but there is something so beautiful about Hoffman in the role of the male nurse that despite his lack of screen time, I remember him most. Radiates goodness in a really unconventional way. Not Hollywood goodness.) - Hanna Schygulla in 'Effi Briest' (the director, Rainer Fassbinder, felt that her interpretation of the character was wrong. She was right. Fassbinder was still a genius, though wrong in this instance.)
other actors apart from nic i would say my top 5 are 1- nic cage (like you didnt guess that already lol)
2- Jhonny Depp 3- orlando bloom 4-sean connery he is a legond 5- bill nighly- best english actor (in my opinion)
and i also like russell brand but he is more a comedian so not including him in the list but i love him in get him to the greek . never laughed so much at one film its so funny. nic out shines them all though he has just an amazing smile and personality his work is amazing .
- Jack nicholson - Vincent d´onofrio ( i hope i spelled that correct) - Mark whalberg - Will smith - Leonardo di caprio - Christian Ulmen, Christoph maria Herbst (both german) - Javier bardem - Harrison Ford ( In someway my hero ) - Leslie Nielsen ( RIP ) - David caruso - Jim Carrey - Tom Hanks
- Elisha ann cuthbert - Ellen Hollman - Hayley atwell - Jennifer Morrison - Megan Molloy

Not for quite some time Flo, but I am due a good one!!! but if you are asking what I think you are asking, Mr Cage still can't be touched by anyone else as far as acting gioes, he just is unique...and I will be a Nic fan til my dying day.... !
and it has been so long, (have been a Nic fan for 22 years now) and the imprint on me so indeible, that it will probably extend into the next lifetime too!!
