Yeah, me too, Lula, huh? if he is on Facebook it is not obvious. But now he is not going to be on anywhere.
I have an amusing vision of Nic playing Farmville on his Facebook page, while sending his friends 'hugs' . Updating his status, "So bored today" or 'Going out with the guys!" LOL!
Lol! is that what people do on Facebook? i am sure you get to be as creative as you want to be in your updates, that is my reply when people question the point of twitter! I knew Nic was never on twitter. Since Cagealot Castle began there, despite loads of people asking and me making it clear that he is in fact not on twitter at all, people still continue to follow and message the fake Nic accounts! there are several, some are quite funny, others are insulting!
Shouldn't it be Notorious N.I.C? that works better in all ways...seeiing as it's nic not nick and it is meant to be mirroring Notorious B.I.G!!:yellowflowergrin Lol, I have a virtual hangover...I am allowed to be pedantic!
LOL!! You can be creative on facebook! I mostly use it to keep in touch with my friends from away. When I first went o it I used it alot for the silly stuff, but I got over it!
I agree, it should have been N.I.C.!
Loved him in the interview, but I want to know who threw a snowball at him!!
Oh yes, I forgot about the snowball! shame that guy from Elf wasn't around with supersonic snowball retaliation! kidding...fighting snow with snow is not the best plan, right kids?! Nic did look relaxed in this interview, the audience loved him too! I can't get over how sexy he looked....I know it is pretty shallow to focus on the clothing and hair but he looked so hot! loved the shirt and jeans in grey.. and those thighs....ooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....sorry!!
Thank goodness you noticed, don't know why I never copied this before! I am doing so now. I can't recall if you did a transcript, Lula, it doesn't ring a bell right now.
i recall beginning a transcript, then someone saying it wasn't necessary, but i had this feeling the video may disappear one day and such epicness deserves to be preserved forevurrrrrrrrrrrr! Glad you are copying it Lady T!
We've spent nights in much worse places than this.
00:03:11
At least I have.
00:03:11
>> What is that smell?
00:03:14
>> That would be you.

00:04:08
>> Yes.
00:04:08
this morning.
00:04:10
I was actually in england.
00:04:12

00:04:23
>> Somebody threw a snowball at my head in england.
00:04:25
>> That's not fun.
00:04:27
>> Well, it was all right.
00:04:28
It was festive.
00:04:29
THEN I TRIED TO BUILD A snowman But it melted.
00:04:31
That was how I spent my holidays.
00:04:33
>> You have one of those birthdays that fall right by the holiday be you're celebrating your birthday next week.
00:04:37
>> That's right.
00:04:38
That's right.
00:04:43
The horror.
00:04:43
>> What are you going to do?
00:04:45
>> Well, this movie's actually opening on my birthday.
00:04:48
>> How special.
00:04:49
>> JANUARY 7th.
00:04:51
So it remains to be seen what happens.
00:04:53
It could be either very ironic or it could be a very happy birthday.
00:04:57
>> It could be.
00:04:57
>> On opening night, do you ever go and watch it?
00:05:01
>> I used to.
00:05:01
I used to.
00:05:03
Now when I make my movies I kind of just sort of, I let other people watch them.
00:05:07
I don't go to my own movies anymore.
00:05:09
>> Any new year's resolutions going down in 2011?
00:05:12
>> Yeah.
00:05:12
I decided to get offline.
00:05:14
>> Get offline?
00:05:15
No more internet?
00:05:17
No more internet.
00:05:17
>> Is there a reason?
00:05:19
>> I just decided I wanted no more facebook, no more nothing.
00:05:22
Well, I never got on twitter.
00:05:23
But I'm offline.
00:05:25
>> So there's no twitter.
00:05:27
There's no nicolas cage twitter out there if you're all following him right now.
00:05:30
>> I'm not there.
00:05:31
I left cyberspace.
00:05:33
>> We got him in real space " our first guest of the new year.
00:05:39
Since it's your first time on the show, you're our first guest, we want to know some of your other firsts.
00:05:45
Tell us the first time you knew you wanted to become an actor.
00:05:47
>> I was about 6 years old and i was watching the tv set, and i thought it was so magical that these people were inside the tv how to get inside the tv and now here I am.
00:06:00
I think that was when I first decided I wanted to be an actor.
00:06:04
>> Y'all act like you didn't do that too as a kid.
00:06:06
>> I grew up in the lbc, me and snoop doggy dog.
00:06:10
Long beach, california.
00:06:13
>> West coast is in the building.
00:06:16
From your very first role to the roles that you play now, which one would you say was your first major role?
00:06:22
>> I mean, my first major role " that was the time that I kind of, I was nicolas cage for the first time and I felt liberated by that.
00:06:35
I changed my name and I took a big, deep breath of fresh air and said yes, I can do this.
00:06:39
So I think that was an important role for me.
00:06:41
Then later, I would have to say john McLaughlin in "world trade " >> what was one of the first from working with director dominick seeman?
00:06:54
>> He's great to work with.
00:06:55
He's got a great sense of humor.
00:06:56
He makes his actors feel free to create.
00:06:59
That was "gone in 60 seconds" and I love the way that movie's held up over time.
00:07:03
>> You directed this movie we are going to talk about in just a little bit.
00:07:07
>> He did, yeah.
00:07:08
This is the first time I ever played a knight in a movie.
00:07:11
I'm kind of excited about this.
00:07:13
>> The movie is incredible.
00:07:14
>> It is great.
00:07:15
>> We will talk more about the film.
00:07:17
We have more with nicolas cage right after this number eight featuring chris brown.
00:09:23
>> right now we're joined by nicolas cage.
00:09:25
He's got a new movie "season of the witch" in theaters this FRIDAY, JANUARY 7th, ON HIS Birthday.
00:09:31
Be sure you go check it out.
00:09:32
It's a great movie.
00:09:33
>> I thoroughly enjoyed the movie.
00:09:36
Me and rocsi both got to see it over the holidays.
00:09:41
Everybody loves this film.
00:09:42
TELL EVERYBODY THE CONCEPT.?h@R(T&HáhP &HC& >> The concept is this group of knights have to transport this young lady who the church feels is a witch, and my character doesn't believe she's really a witch and thinks this is all more propaganda, and then things start to happen during the journey that lead me to believe there might really be something going on there.
00:09:58
In fact, that's what happens in the clip you're about to see, i start to become very suspicious that she may indeed have magical powers and she may indeed be a witch.
00:10:06
>> I had an ex-girlfriend like that in high school.
00:10:09
Everybody told me she was a witch.
00:10:10
I just didn't know it -- ç >> that's a trending thing with terrence, all of his ex-girlfriends tend to be -- >> stop it.
00:10:21
No.
00:10:21
No.
00:10:21
>> In this movie you're doing -- ssh, guys, I'm going to have to pay for it later.
00:10:25
In this movie you're doing a period p what's the difference between you having to prepare for a period character than, you know, " >> it's a good question.
00:10:37
As a kid I was always pretending I was a knight because my dad ç built me this little wooden castle in the yard and I would go in it and think I was a knight.
00:10:45
I never got a chance to play it until now.
00:10:48
I don't know what took this long.
00:10:49
The way I got into it was trying to be a good swordsman, using the sword, learning how to do that and also ride the horse.
00:10:54
Those were the two ways.
00:10:56
Than the imagination.
00:10:57
It's all about imagination.
00:10:58
That's what kids do in the backyard.
00:11:00
That's what I'm still doing now.
00:11:01
>> Were there any different moments shooting this?
00:11:03
>> There was one time we were all running on horseback flat out in the rain and mud and i was sure that someone was going to fall and it was going to be a domino effect, but it didn't happen.
00:11:11
We were lucky nobody got hurt.
00:11:14
>> All right.
00:11:14
Once again, we are about tee the clip.
00:11:18
This is when you realize -- >> I'm starting to get suspicious she could really be something -- there could be trouble.
00:11:23
>> Let's check out a scene from " check this out.
00:11:36
>> Guy told me what happened on the bridge.
00:11:39
He says you saved his life.
00:11:41
With one hand.
00:11:43
Hard to believe.
00:11:47
>> We believe what we want to believe.
00:11:53
Do you believe I'm a witch?
00:11:58
You're not afraid of me.
00:11:59
ç >> man!
00:12:08
>> We can't tell you what we're talking about.
00:12:11
>> This movie right here, topic of a lot of conversation.
00:12:14
That was a scene from the upcoming "season of the witch" in taters friday, january 7.
00:12:20
We have nicolas cage in the building.
00:12:22
>> He is here and of course, since you are here, in honor of your first time being on "106," terrence and I thought it would be cool if we gave you a special moniker here on the ç show.
00:12:35
You need a rap name.
00:12:36
>> You going to anoint me?
00:12:38
Knight me?
00:12:39
>> We have choices.
00:12:39
We will knight you.
00:12:40
Let's take a look at some of these.
00:12:44
All right.
00:12:45
I think I'm big nic.
00:12:48
>> I'm not sure.
00:12:51
We'll come back to that.
00:12:56
>> Nick ross.
00:12:57
>> The boss, nick ross.
00:12:59
>> We'll keep going.
00:13:00
ç >> I just want to take a pick after I see them all.
00:13:08
So far, nick ross is coming.
00:13:09
>> Young cage.
00:13:12
>> You heard of young hall.
00:13:14
We got young cage.
00:13:15
One more.
00:13:18
Notorious n.i.c.k.
00:13:19
>> That one.
00:13:20
>> That one?
00:13:21
>> Okay.
00:13:21
>> That will be my code name now when I check into hotel rooms.
00:13:25
>> It's not a secret anymore.
00:13:27
>> Since you're from the west coast it could be notorious for east coast trips or the west coast.
00:13:35
>> Nick doggy dog for the west coast.

Thank you so much.

Thank you Lady T, for the transcript which makes it possible for me to read this great interview, the idea of Notorious N.I.C.K. is memorable.
The most surprising part for me was/is: Why Nic don't watch his own film, i know he have said this many times in other interview and you guys are going to turn against me
Hi Tues, oh dear... are you looking at the embedded video / clicking on the link in my last post? the original video posted by LAdy T is no longer availble!
The way I see it with Nic not watching his films is sometiimes he himself has not seen the movie until the premiere, and after that perhaps it is a little like he has created something and now releases it, it belongs to the audience.....and there has to be a kind of letting go. Also i guess because a film goes through so many processes after that immediate magic the actor brings, the director decides which bits to keep, then the film is edited and produced and the final product maybe something far different! or perhaps it is a little like the way i feel about something when i have writen it..the impetus for it is this almsot divine force, a flow, that is not remotely about the resuilt or what happens to it afterwards, it is just that moment, the process itself, the act of creation, that is when the force of creativity flows through you after that it is as if it is gone, and i sometimes cringe whe i have to read it in the future! But how very blessed we are that the magic Nic brings is recorded on film forever!
