The above comes from an Amber Heard interview about Drive Angry 3D, just thought it was a cool way to describe Nic!


Yeah, he's so great. Nic is a true pro and I quickly realized why he's so good at his job. He brings more to the classic hero role. I like to think he's the perfect mix between Zen and crazy. [laughs] A perfect mix of the two.

LOL!! Fun to work with someone like that as well as rewarding, I would think.

I expect this is going sound weird, but ever since the clips started appearing from Drive Angry I have been reminded of David Carradine in the Kung Fu tv series from the 70's. It remains to be seen, of course, if I will feel that way when I see the full movie, but there was a definite Zen/crazy mix with that character, for me anyway!

Yeah, Nic definitely seems to encapsulate those two seeming extremes.. though in truth they are on the same continuum...so it's alchemy! I feel the almost tension between the zen and the crazy is what gives Nic as an actor such a kenetic energy even in stilless....it radiates, it's a powerful presence that comes through the screen and makes him the magnetic force that he is in his films! the quintessential Nicness!starry
