This is going to be a big departure from the original GR, I think. It sounds really awesome. Those pics of him coming out of the pit scared me on their own, the movie should be quite frightening. The exorcism part may be the pics we saw where he is lying on the ground surrounded by priests.

Definitely, Nic has said in interviews from way back that this is a reimagining as opposed to the sequel..and with an entirely different origins story. cool...we get to see how Johnny Blaze transforms for the first time all over again?! yellowflowergrin

I wonder how this exorcism element will pan out, interesting that by the end of the original Ghost Rider Johnny Blaze had embraced his Ghost Rider alter ego, determined to use it for the power of good. if they are playing up the 'evil' aspect of the Ghost Rider, or like a 'corrupted angel' I wonder how that will work out for Johnny Blaze in the new film? flaming I kind of liked how Johnny reconciled that aspect of himself..and it sounds like the big difference here is he is hosting another entity entirely! flaming

heh, I hope like my fan fiction beginning, there are other angels in this movie!!

Interesting to read this thread again now we have seen the trailer! The exorcism in this film is going to be baddass and scary, as well as utterly amazing with Nic in both the roles of John Blaze and The Ghost Rider! flaming
