Serbian actor / producer Vladimir Rajcic and Oscar-winning producer Branko Lustig (SCHLINDER’s List, Gladiator) film prepared on a large famous Serbian inventor Nikola Tesla. TESLA ruler of the world will focus on the events in Tesla’s life, the modern technological crisis are connected. Celebrated historical figures such as Thomas Edison, JP Morgan and George Westinghouse all play a prominent role in the film. Tesla invented alternating current, and 750 additional patents introducing the world to the foundations of robotry, computer, rocket science, space technology, satellites, microwaves, beam weapons, a nuclear fusion. Many claim that he in the 21 Century created the modern world because it would exist without his inventions. Tesla is Vladimir Rajcic itself (although there are rumors that the roll Christian Bale is also available) are played, and two other Serbian actor working in Hollywood already in Cast – Rade Serbedgia and Lolita Davidovich , while Nicolas Cage , the role of Thomas Edison. The producers are with other A-League stars negotiate for other roles, and there are rumors that Mike Newell of the film could direct.

I know I read about this before but in my mind Nic was supposed to play Tesla, not Edison! He should so play Tesla! But I suppose if it is a Serbian production, and if it is actually true, they want a Serbian actor. And of course Nic would be a wonderful Edison. Still:

  The concept is intriging but a more accurate casting choice for Eddison would be a character actor like Phillip Seymore Hoffman due to facial features, hair color, body type and believablity.  That is simply my view however.

As it was Nikola Tesla`s birthday yesterday, I found this article! Thought, it might be interesting! Currently, it`s just a rumour, I think, but it seems, as if Nic would make a movie, together with Christian Bale, about Nikola Tesla! According to this article, Nic is in talk to play the part of Thomas Edison (and I so hoped, he would play Tesla), and Bale is in talk to play the part of Nikola Tesla!:

Hi Lady R, that rumour has been around for awhile, we talked about it here last year.

I can't tell from this new story if anything new has developed since then or if it is just a recycling effort! I do think that a movie with Nic and Bale and the director Newell would be an awesome thing. Of course, we have seen Nic and Christian Bale together before, so that would be a really great reunion!

I didn`t know, that we already have it here! Thanks, Lady T.! It seems, it is still a rumour, then! I so hope, it will happen, as, indeed, it would be a great reunion, since their last working together on Captain Corelli`s Mandolin (2001) is a while ago! :)

Edison was certainly an amazing man and had a really long and prolific life. When I look at his pictures, especially the early ones, I can see a resemblance to Nic, I think it is the eyes.

Both would be intriguing characters to play, but given Nic's personal interest in Tesla, it is a little disappointing maybe that he woud play the other man! but the story between them is going to be particularly interesting to me! stars

yes, this caught my attention from the Giffoni Nic interviews, amazing how far these rumours can circulate.

Fingers crossed it happens though, the film is an exciting premise! (and will not be half as exciting without Nic!)

I have no idea if all of the stuff in this article is true or not ( maybe a tad exaggerated? ) but it is certainly fascinating to read! And now I really, really want this movie to happen and I think Nic would play Edison awesomely as the caddish and convoluted man he sounds to have been!
