truly...and don't mean this in a gloryfying the horribleness of it way, because I have been a victim of robbery and there is nothing glorious about it whatsoever...but the whole thing coming full circle sounds like a really cool plot for a movie?!
I would think that Nic would have to return whatever the insurance payout was on the item when it was stolen and claimed as such. But, seriously....what a cool gift to give to Kal-El on his 21st bday, being that he is named after Superman! Oh....and I always said I wanted to see Nic do a remake of the Pink Panther. I hated the Steve Martin attempts.

LOL...after our convos here last night about the pink panther, the theme song and inspector Clouseau i had a dream.... a very funny dream...and guess who was in it? Nic as Inspector Clousea! do do do do ........ (you are going to get sick of that emoticon eventually I must notoveruseit)
It is an amazing comic to own, the first appearnace of Superman...andnit must have extra special meaning having it returned now. because of Kal-El starry: I am not suer if it is one of the ones still missing but Nic also has /had the comic with the first time Batman appears!
Lady True as much as I love the Steve Martin versions...the original Clouseau will always remain closer to my heart!
and now I know what I am going to be watching later on.
LOL! You had a dream of Nic as Inspector Clouseau?
OH GADS......YOU HAVE TO SHARE IT WITH US!!!! PRETTY PLEASE???
I've always wanted to see Nic play the Pink Panther. Not in a campy style, but more as the original one with David Niven. Or maybe as Peter Sellers did him in his earliest Pink Panther works. In my opinion, Nic is a sublime comedic actor and I often think his comedic talents are put to waste since he doesn't use them often.

Lol, I wish i had written it down! I don't remember it much, I know it involved a ridiculous moustache and a ski slope! I tend to remember the earlier Pink Panthers, Nic could pull off either the David Niven Pink Panther character or Peter Seller's Inspector Clouseau! I can def see him as Pink Panther too, (hopefully that dream will come tonight!) or as a glamorous sophisticated jewel thief..there is something more attractvie and multidimensional in that than say a James Bond role, which is all good..
yep.....he'd make a great jewel thief. He could maybe use that "Roger' persona we caught a glimpse of in GISS! Perhaps tone down the arrogance a tad tho......

This is the first time I've heard about one of Nic's comic books being stolen, but I'm glad he got it back, especially after learning that he just auctioned off his comic book collection not too long ago.

Nic auctioned his collection many years ago Quazie, shortly after the theft if I recall.
Are we talking about the velvet curtains guy in GISS White Fay? I could see Nic as a less verbose and more demure, glamourous, contained but nevertheless as highly creative, stylish and gorgeous version..not an abvious bad boy more a highly intellgent sophisticated charming man.... so much so that his devious calculating criminal mastermind would be very well camouflaged! I think we are on to something here, a definite gap in Nic's portfolio!
Ooops...I guess I'm a little bit behind the times then, but I just remember seeing something about that on the internet the other day, though I don't remember seeing a date on it. Thanks for letting me know, Lula Argante.

I agree Floderstarke, my brain explodes trying to imagine that sort of money and it seems kind of abstract, but absolutely can understand being so very passionate about something and how valuable it is in that respect! Also, money aside, having anything stolen from you is a horrible and violating experience, so I hope Nic's comic did get returned to him after it was recovered.
