While it is our policy not to discuss Nic's personal life, or that of his family, and we do not wish to contribute to the speculation and attention Nic constantly has to endure, I felt it important to check everyone is ok, the latest news about Nic being arrested this morning is making it's way across the media and as a forum for his fans we wanted to acknowledge that people may have feelings about it.

I cannot speak on behalf of everyone else here, but I will be sending  positive vibes to Nic at what is clearly a difficult time right now.

Let's remember that what we hear is only a percentage of the whole story and that while we've all faced difficult times in our lives, we have not had to do it under the relentless gaze of the public eye.

Love and peace,

Lula

Very well said, Lula.   I too lend my love and support to Nic.  No one but he knows what he has had to deal with over the past several years.  May he get the advice and help he needs to get him thru what appears to be turbulent times in his life.  God Bless.

I do feel as a fan of Nic's that it is important to stand by and let the facts be made clear. Already the news releases are changed somewhat from the initial report. Nobody is perfect, so let those without sin cast the first stone. God knows the media assaults on him have been brutal and unwarranted.

I am certain he can overcome this.

Nic was bailed out by Dog the Bounty Hunter, here is his wife Beth's tweet bout it:

"My guy just walked out of the jail damn new Orleans 8 hours holy cow that's a lot of time to process one guy"

http://9.bb/5dsj

The more news that gets reported, the more it seems that initial reports were exaggerated. Of course, TMZ broke the story, and they are always quick to jump on any perception of scandal and make it look in as bad a light as possible.

My feeling is that Nic needs all the support he can get right now and I am focusing my positive energy on him and his family.

I just can't imagine why Nic would want to even have DOG associated with him.  I mean.....that....simply boggles my mind.

My dh loves his show, I have seen it too. Not my style but he does seem to be a caring person and they always pray before they go out and do their thing. So they have values, is what I mean. Perhaps it is a media thing, bu maybe he just wanted to help.

This is all beginning to sound like some blown out of proportion charge for a disorderly conduct issue.  And face it!   After all the stress he's been under for the past couple of years, you can't blame him for drinking himself into oblivion.  Just hope he's got it under control.  And if not, that he gets himself some serious help.

My hub and son like to watch DOG's show too but I have to wonder what the heck Nic would have needed DOG there for.  His bail was supposedly set at $11000.  Heck...he could have called me and I would have paid his bail.  You only have to post 10% of the set bail to get out.  That's just over a thousand dollars.

The DOG thing sounds like a publicity stunt by DOG.

I am inclined to agree with you, Bon, as Alice herself has disputed the cab drivers story and does not want to press charges. Obviously, Nic was drunk out of his mind and it is lucky nothing worse happened.

I didn't know that about the 10% for bail. It could be a publicity thing, he may want to use it on his show. But holding someone for 8 hours does seem long.

I am sure it will continue to be a hot news item for a few days.

I am not given to speculate at all on any of that, the media circus will be as gratuitous as it can get away with, fuellng speculation as it goes, which,in my opnion, serves no helpful purpose.
Glad Nic is out now and I hope everyone is ok.

I am worried about Nic and his life concerning his family but everyone has problems.  The story could of been made more than it was, but Nic has always been a "bad boy" and is best pals with Charlie Sheen and his association with Dog isnt alarming to me.  Don't want to speculate, but maybe their is more to the story that Nic's ex wife says.  I love Nic and support him in every way, but I hope his woes in life aren't catching up to him.  I hope he gets the new IRS deal worked out and this domestic situation resolved.  Maybe he should take some time off for the rest of the year and not do any more films after Medallion.  I know he is rumored to be attatched to other roles but he should get out of the spotlight.  Let us all send our love and respect to Nicolas and his family.

      Much Love, CLC

I'm trying to send positive vibes, love, and prayers to Nic as much as I can too. This may now seem unendurable  but I'm sure Nic can withstand  it all, it may turn out to be a catharsis of sorts, even though it's a very drastic measure. I so hope everything will be alright. It will.

I am very sad with what I have read. I hope that Nicolas and his family go through this turmoil. And those who judge him now, repent of it.

Yes I am sad for Nic too...but it is wonderful to read the supportive words from his fans here everyone, it makes a refreshing change from the media and individuals who try to milk every possible angle out of another's misfortune and circle and pick at the bones like vultures.

Shakespeare's 'Measure For Measure' alludes to another bible quote, that i will probably misquote  ..Judge not that ye be not judged.

Love and Light to Nic and to all multicolourlove

Thank you, Lula. It is a very good idea to send some positive energy their way. I feel bad that all the negative media scrutiny might be adding to his stress. But we've all done things we're not proud of. hmm I just looked this up on ABC's website- it has been sensationalized in the headlines. If I didn't think he was a good person deep down, I would not be a fan of his. He may not be perfect & doesn't pretend to be, he does deserve some positive thoughts sent his way.

Completely agree about the sensationalism GreenRiverMay! How is this really anyone's business than theirs anyway? when it comes to actors and actresees and film, there is a way for sites to simply stick to talking about the work, they do exist and they get my admiration. Nic signed up for being an actor, not a public spectacle.

NIce to see you GreenRiverMay flowerface

I heard bits of this sad news today and don't know the full details as my husband told me it was on the radio about Nick and being drunk. He said he hit his wife? I thought this was way out of news as it didn't sound like Nick but no body is perfect. Like everyone said here we are here for Nick always and hope he's doing the best as he can to get help and yes I agree with him taking a big break away from filming. We love Nick as a actor and his personal life is not our business but when we hear this we do get upset for him. Who is DOG? A person Nick's into?

I first heard about it on the Today show and on there they said that he just went to grab her arm, but I told my mom that I don't see him hitting on a woman, either, because everybody says he's such a nice guy and a total gentleman. I'm not a big fan of Dog the Bounty Hunter, though, and I don't know much about his show, but he is a reality TV star and I can't help but wonder what was going though Nic's mind when he heard that Dog the Bounty Hunter had bailed him out!

Producers Stand by Nicolas Cage After Domestic Abuse Arrest

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/producers-stand-by-nicolas-cage-179808

"We know he will weather this incident well," Medallion ep Avi Lerner tells The Hollywood Reporter.

The executive producer of Medallion is standing behind Nicolas Cage, who was arrested Saturday in New Orleans, where he's filming the action flick.

"This is our fifth film with Nic Cage. He is a gifted actor and consummate professional," Avi Lerner tells The Hollywood Reporter in a statement.

"We know he will weather this incident well," he adds. "He has our total support."

Production was not affected by Cage's arrest for domestic abuse and disturbing the peace. He was back on set Monday after Dog The Bounty Hunter posted his $11,000 bail over the weekend.

Cage was reportedly fighting with his wife, Alice, about their rental address (his two homes in the city have been foreclosed upon; recap his biggest financial issues here), when a cab driver called police on them.

When police approached them, Cage reportedly dared them to arrest him - so they did.

This isn't his first public incident in New Orleans. GQ editor in chief Jim Nelson alleges that he caused quite a scene during Mardi Gras at a local restaurant.
