..his forthcoming Nic Cage-starringTrespass is set for release this September, so we’ll get to see if he’s still got what it takes to make a solid thriller
This is great news that Trespass is opening in September like posted in another thread. I knew it would be released before Hungry Rabbit or At Any Cost now. I hope this will provide Nic(olas) and Nic(ole) with a much needed box office boost and critical acclaim.
I kind of think the French article got it wrong. Seems unlikely, there would have been something written about it by now in the trades stuff that comes out, one would think. Has Nic finished filming Medallion, I wonder, have't heard anything lately.
aha thats cool, about trespass actually its set for release September 1st in the Netherlands, not sure about other countries but probably would be around the same time.

Thanks R.D, it sounds like you are pretty sure on that! I have not read anything solid on release dates yet, so well done in finding that out, did you read it somewhere?
I'm delight to know that soon, we'll get this interesting (not either exciting for me) project on screen.
Bill Pankow is credited as editor, and that's a good sign :).
But seeing that the post-production of Trespass was relatively fast, I begin to be little worried about The Hungry Rabbit Jumps. It has been now one year and couple of months of silence, too long... I feel that something bad is happening to this film, but I'll talk about that in the appropriate topic ;)
Lula : Bad Ltd : POCNO was announced first in Europe, but it at the end, it released in US before (except for Italia, because of the Mostra) ;). The same for the new Schumacher piece ?

It seems to be the common pattern doesn't it that films are released in the US first..I was pleasantly surpirsed that was not the case with Nic's last two films. I would ot call an announcement on imdb any kind of official announcement though, so i took I it with a grain of salt!
You're right, Imdb announcements are not always reliable. For now, it's more as a guide.
Seeing the small budget of the film, and the recently poors box office results of his holders (Cage, Kidman, and Schumacher), do you think it will be a "limited" release for the US ?

Hi Powermad!
I really don't know, but I would be surprised..we are talking about 2 MEGA A-listers here, I mean SUPERSTAR status and both, in my opinion, excellent actors!
Mine was may be too fast :D, what's more Schumacher stay more or less an "all audiences" director ( I mean, he's not a experimental one).
And yes, the meeting between the wild Cage and the modest Kidman, promises to be unique !
LOL! I actually thought your reasoning was more logical Powermad, and mine was fan filled passion! It will be interesting to see what actually happens and I like it that we have these different perspectives to consider.
Interesting comment about Schumacher...really made me think...I am not sure he is not experimental..he certainly pushed a few boundarieds with 8MM..I guess it depends what you mean by experimental! He is not in the David Lynchian sense experimental but then not many directors are...but he is somewhere along the spectrum maybe?
I am very curious to see if we do get 'wild' Cage, perhaps we will have wild Kidman and mild cage?!!!
I am not that familiar with Nicole Kidman's work, how about you Powermad?
According to this article, Trespass will be released in september.
Well, it just corroborate what we know since few weeks... even if in ths case the source doesn't look very reliable.
For Lula (with big late, sorry :/) : I don't really like Nicole Kidman, her cold way of acting never convince me a lot. But in her "renaissance" period (beginning of the 2000's with Los Otros, Dogville, Birth...) proves that she can free her talent. I see his filmography still quiet poor for now.
The exact opposite of Nic Cage in my opinion ! :D
