Lionsgate also snared U.K. rights to Medallion in a deal with seller Nu Image. Directed bySimon West, Medallion reteams West with Nicolas Cage for the first time since Con Air. Set during Mardi Gras in New Orleans, the Robbie Fox penned script tells the tale of a double crossed master thief who gets sent to jail before emerging with the ambition of rebuilding his relationship with his daughter but finds himself caught up in one last heist.

Glad to see Medallion was picked up so quickly by a studio like Lionsgate. I am sure Medallion isnt even done filming and being picked up so fast is a great sign. Hope it is a good sign for Nic since Kick Ass and Bangkok Dangerous didnt faire so well under the guidance of Lionsgate. Hope they market it well and with pace in the trailer since the studios have mishandled Nic's films lately in the marketing department.
