The relationship between Sailor and Lula in "Wild at Heart" is so heart-rendingly beautiful! It gives me something to aspire to, to be capable of relating that nakedly and truthfully and passionately. It takes total authenticity, caring, honesty, presence, courage, trust, etc., etc., etc... All qualities that sometimes get lost with maturity, if a person ever has them at all -- and must be rediscovered, uncovered, reclaimed. Just as someone described elsewhere on this website: "peeling away the layers until all that is left is infinite everywhere". True Love makes all participants one with the Divine One.
I agree Lady Grace, Sailor and Lula had a transcendent love, irrespective of the circulmstances they found themselves in and the people they found themselves surrounded by. The flames as motifs in the film to me always symbolized not only their pure passion, but that almost magical other worldliness of their love and that vanquishing effect of fire both devastating and creatively igniting and primal and from the source.
