After seeing Depp's new Pirates movie clean up in the States and set records on an International level, I was wondering why can't Nicolas generate that much success at the domestic and worldwide boxoffice?  I love to see a Nic film first day but the last several films have only had a few people in the theatre with me.  I wish there were a bunch of people watching the film and enjoying Nic as well with me.  Do any of you get sad and dissapointed when Nic's films dont earn money? Or do you not care and like them the same?  Also, I think Depp is a great actor but do any think that a tiny part of Nic regrets "discovering" Depp in any way?  I dont think Nic  cares and I dont either but I just wish he was more lauded than he is.  People make fun of me for saying I am a NicFan.  Thoughts.......smile

Well.....first up....stand tall and proud that you are a Nicfan!

I have found thru these many years that fans of Nic tend to be intelligent beings who can see far below the surface of glitter and shallowness.   True Nicfans "GET" Nic and that's a plus in my book.  While I would love to see Nic at the top of the Alist movie star heap, I care more that the man himself is enjoying his work and staying true to his own visions.  I'd rather he be nurturing his own self thru his work than spinning his wheels in work that doesn't feed his soul.    Hopefully, the man knows that his true fans care about him as a person and not as an image and that that knowledge helps him to find strength when the critics are baying about him and his work   As far as how Nic might feel about Depp.....?  Well....only he can answer that but I like to think that our man is above pettiness and that he wishes the best for all his fellow thespians.
