I agree completely Lady Trueheart, it is a constructive way to exploit what is afterall an artificial construct, the 'culture of celebrity', in order to raise awareness for important causes and contribute in a way that has real meaning and depth and to create positive change in the world.
Oh my. I'm just now discovering this moving thread. I appreciate Nic donating a photo to raise money for hospice care.
When my dad was ill of cancer, we had to use hospice care. For those who aren't familiar with Hospice, it's for patients who are terminally ill. Nurses and doctors are brought in to, not extend their life, but to keep them comfortable.
I am sorry to read about your dear father Gina, it must be such a comfort to know he was well looked after. Hospices in our country are filled with dedicated and special people who work there, a true blessing...earth angels.

I am sorry too Lula.
Oh my goodness! It is so wonderful to hear that Hospice is universal!!

It's really so very sad when you think about it.
Sad to hear about your father's sickness but I'm so happy that Nic had that bright idea to help your father and the rest whose terminally ill. At least, they felt love and gratitude from them.
