There is a specific part in the SOTW soundtrack that I really really love, in my head I have always called it "The Behmen and Girl Theme" just a simple melody, strings, really beautiful, watch the film and you will hear it the first time when Behmen sees 'the witch' when they are both imprisoned.
I was happy to stumble across this today, I really like the whole soundtrack to Season of The Witch, Unfortunately this special melody is not on this clip!! def gonna buy it!
That is lovely, it has a very eastern sound to me. Again it is so interesting to me how a soundtrack enhances a movie so much yet often we don't even take note of the music, because it becomes part of the whole sensory experience. I would like to own this too.
Enjoy eva! listen out for their special theme! i am so glad the move ended with Behmen confirmed in his original feelings about the girl, and that silent bond between them was there right at the very end
I agree Lady T, it is an invisible synergy, kind of magical must take a lot of egoless skill on the musicians part. But i really did notice the part of the soundtrack that i am going on about here!
Ohhhhh!!! It has that middle eastern flare at the very beginning and then it ventures off into this sort of Vincent Price, 1950's, classic horror film epitome!!!!
very much so eva, even though it is so so tragic, it is also a very beautiful moment, as Behmen can pass on vindicated in his beliefs ...on many levels and he leaves this world as a noble selfless hero.
I hadn't really formulated that Gina, you are right, how exciting...i thought it may have been some wishful thinking on my part when i felt a stiring of that... because i am longing (as are you i know) to see Nic in a Vincent Price Roger Corman style horror. I know that Nic was aiming for that flavour in SOTW too!

Gosh, wouldn't that be amazing Lula. If Nic starred in an all-out Vincent Price/Roger Corman themed film???
Picture it! Nic would finally get an opportunity to chanel all of that Vincent Price, Lon Chaney, Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi energy that's been longing to erupt from him!
BTW, one of my all-time favorite Roger Corman flicks is Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women." So silly NOW, but so awesome if you were to place it in it's heyday.
