Just a short note to let you know that after tonight I won't have a computer or being online for awhile. I'm having my computer fixed finally, I had so many bugs and other bad things on this. I'm not been able to be on normal Windows programs for over a few months. I'm been on Safe Mode with Networking only. So at that time I could use the Internet Service but not sure how safe it was. Anyway, with Foxfire browser it seemed to be ok under the Safe Mode at that time. We have a place close to us where we live that fixes all computers. A good price too. Instead, of just getting a new computer we can just get this one fix instead and get every thing back like almost new. At least we can do every thing again under my Windows programs again. So I won't be here for awhile talking to you all. OK? Not sure how long it will be for fixing the computer. It may take a few weeks or more time. Or less. When I do come back I'll make sure you all know about it then. I will miss talking about Nick here but, by keeping me happy I'll be watching all his movies I have on DVD and Videos. To keep me going. Talk soon when I come back online again. Bye for now.
We'll miss you Nancy!! And be sure to add anti-virus protection to your computer. I think my Norton costs around $50 a year. It's certainly worth it in the end.
Hi Nanacy! sorry i missed you here yesterday..and to hear about your computer troubles...it sounds like you have had quite a time of it! hope it gets fixed up soon and we will look forward to your return to cagealot !
Just to add my thoughts on the antivirus protection, I favour Avast, which you can download for free....according to my computer brain friend it outperforms Norton and Macafee and many of the so called top virus programmes.
Hi All, I'M BACK!!!!! Yippi got our computer back tonight. Yes, it's working fine and the guy who fix it gave me Windows 9 now and he put in another free anti-virus program AVG. Hope this one works too. Yes, Lula we had Avast too but I didn't like how it kept coming up telling you they find and fix things all the time in a little box which bug us some. It worked too but I'm going for this one. My other friend says to try Microsoft Essentials too for a free anti-virus program too. So we are set for now. Have to re-program some of our personal things but I can do that any time. I kept all my passwords and user's names so I'm all set. I just re-sign in (log-in) here but I put in just under cagealotcastle.com now. So thanks, for all your comments here. I did watch my DVDs of Nick's movies. Especially, this past Saturday night when I fell in my kitchen. OUCH! Lucky, I didn't break any thing but made my knees hurt more. I'm doing better by now but still having walking problems. I'll be getting my new knee shots again this coming Tuesday. My husband and I have a new Orthopedic doctor closer to home now. He's good and young doctor. He says he has the shots I like and will give them to me. Good. Hope this will work and help me heal even more after my little accident. My hubby were doing all my chores for me for feeding and watering my farm animals.
Hi Nancy! fab that you are back up online! But I am really sorry to hear about your poor knee, hope it now starts to gets better quickly!
Glad you have found anti virus programme you are happy with. lol, yes avast does have that annoying pop up box, but you can switch it off and all voice alerts in the settings, I find it reassuring though to know when malware is being blocked and to know how often the prog auto updates!
