Nicolas Cage’s son offered to fly with a Spider-Man actor – then realised he couldn’t as he’d forgotten his cape.
The Hollywood star has six-year-old Kal-El with his wife Alice Kim. Nicolas is known to be a huge fan of superheroes and comics, which is why he decided to call his son Superman’s birth name.
The 47-year-old star recently took Kal-El to see the Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, which stars Reeve Carney as Peter Parker and his alter-ego.
Kal-El was delighted to be given a tour around the set after the show and so let Reeve in on a little secret.
“I’m Kal-El. This is my dad. I was named after Superman. I’d fly with you, but I don’t have my cape,” he explained, according to New York Post.
The young boy and his dad then continued to look around backstage and met with the cast.
The stars on the New York City show are known for being happy to meet and greet the audience.
Here is another link, which I am including just because there is a gorgeous picture of Nic there along with the same story!
Ahhhhhh, what an adorable story! How wonderful - the imagination of a child's mind which also made Nic into such an incredible actor, might I dare say!
I think Spider-Man on broadway would be awesome too! I would love to see it. It reminds me of the stage productions of Peter Pan I have read about, it probably had that same exciting feeling then too.

you're right Lady T! I wonder if they actually go off stage and like fly into or over the audience. That would be a very cool interactive experience!!!
