Aha! yeh..this was another mindblowingly awesome moment of the webchat yesterday!
"I would like to hook up with one of the great Japanese filmmakers, like the master that made Ringu, and take The Wicker Man to Japan," Cage grinned, "except this time he's a ghost."
Good to know Nic was grinning at the time cuz that is exaclty what I was doing!
I have never seen the original Ringu,,and I don't know if i would get all the way through it...the american remake scared me..out of my wits and i would need a whole town of of sofas to hide behind if the Wicker Man 2 was as scary!
but, it would be very very cool to have it as a real horror..and as atmospheric as Japanese cinema can be!
Great news thats what he said yesterday, thanks for posting and sharing your opinion with rest of us, Lady R and Lula. Ah, when it comes to a sequel, how i wish Sir Nic or any other lynchpins could take Vampire's Kiss & Wild At Heart into consideration
well now ...that you know i wholeheartedy agree with Tues! in my mind, David Lynch and Nicolas Cage are a potential infinite party of surrealist and glorious dream-like bizareness match made in heaven!
Yes, they make good things together! And if it would be real, that would be very very cool, a wicker man ghost story in wich he takes revenge, and maybe goes into the body of someone else..

My brain only works on one power... The power of Nicolas Cage!
It would be indeed very cool and awesome, if Nic would do a sequel to the wicker man! And, I can imagine, it would be def an scary but great movie, where he can show once more his NICtastic nouveau shamaNIC maverNIC acting style!

I think a revisit to the Wicker Man in this context would be like a whiole new movie anyway, Flo! The Ring was terrifying, I can only imagine what the Ringu was like.
Sorry I have no idea Lady True, but the idea of Ghostly Cage is ultimately compelling. thanks for the cool link again, just came across this: http://www.firstshowing.net
I enjoyed the lovely comments by fans esp. this one 'If you say you wouldn't see that movie, you're a f****** liar.' by Triangle Dimes
i dont think a sequel would be a good idea for several reasons, id rather see other new movies with him
I would tend to agree with Flo. Although, the context in which he would bring back Wicker Man 2 is certainly entertaining, compelling and nothing less than intriguing!
@Lady T.: As far as I can remember, he actually never played a ghost in a hunted or spooky kind of way. But, in Drive Angry, he played someone, who came back from the dead, as a kind of Ghost or "undead!. If that counts too, then I would say: once.
