David Letterman definitely brings out the humourous and "crazy Cage" aspect of Sir Nicolas..first the magic mushroom and cat story...it has been a while since hearing about the plane prank story!
Amused by the hyperbollox (pardon my french, but the word sums it up nicely) headlines that have come out of this interview :
"Nicolas Cage admits he is not a vampire "
admits?!? like he began the rumour in the first place? lol!
"Nicolas Cage in flight hoax caused trouble for Charlie Sheen"
No it didn't and it wasn't Nic with the coke strapped to his leg!!
Hearing him tell the story of the plane snafu sparked a visual to me of Nicolas having a "Wild and Crazy Guy" circa Steve Martin type of moment on the plane.
Someone should seriously write that scene into a movie......it'd be hysterical.
Oh My this was so good to see. Thanks, Lula! I forgot to watch this after my friend e-mail to remind me of the show too! I wanted to phone my sister to get it for me on video. It was so good to see it here and I should have know it will be on this wonderful website for Nick's fans. I do love that story about the plane prank that Nick played! Oh that will be a good movie scene for sure! I can hardly wait to see the new movie. Thanks, for posting this. Will Nick be on any other late night shows and other TV shows? I hate to miss getting these on tape for my collection. If so, I know you will post it here to see.
Just watched it again, and enjoyed it even more so! Nic is so good at the dead pan expression while Dave cracks wise. And he is totally able to give and take, riff with him. The part with Paul is amusing, not sure what Paul was on about, but as Nic said, 'that's another story.' lol! Oh, and he did say praying mantis, wasn't sure if I remembered that right. That is what it looks like too. Too bad the clip isn't included. It is a goody.
