It is new to me Roxy! it seems to echo some of that sublime written interview that Lady Trueheart posted, but much of this is new, thank you for posting!
Sir Nicolas is being so open in these interviews, how honest and humbling. it has been done, Look at Prince! he gave up press and let the work speak for itself. irrespective of that, the work DOES and always has spoken for itself, because the experience of film is a very intimate one, and cannot be had vicariously, whatever anyone else may or may not share or say about it. ..and for me as long as it is not to the depth of literary criticism where everything is literally pulled apart and analysed (and ruined my abiity to enjoy literature) having a certain amount of press about something is stimulating to the imagination, a delicious precursor that ramps up the energy inside, like a filmic foreplay, lol!
Thank you, Lady A ,that was a good interview. I think that a few of those questions were unnecessary, but he also asked some good, insightful ones too. And different from the same-old, same-old they usually ask.
Filmic foreplay, huh, Lula, LOL! We have a lot of foreplay around here lately, don't we! But that can't be a bad thing.
I can see what Nic is saying about the mystery, it does make sense. On the other hand, as a fan, I would be sad if I didn't have some interviews and appearance pictures to look forward to, I have to admit. Still, as a fan, I would be very happy if Nic could live his life with the privacy that most people take for granted.
