"I think that they all had enormous affects on me. But because I started acting at such a young age I began as a 15-year-old, which makes me a child actor of sorts, I’ve been doing it for 33 years, which is hard to believe at this point.
Because I started so young I think some of the filmmakers that I worked with at a young age had a bigger effect on me because my mind was still learning and it was still impressionable. So, I would say David Lynch, Martha Coolidge on Valley Girl, they had enormous effects on me."
Great quote! And, really interesting! 33 years are a pretty long time! And, he grew and improved during that time as the brilliant actor, that he is, and he still gets better with every new movie! Another proof, that he is just the Best! :) Thank you, for posting it, Lula! :)

He have possessed with what it takes to be a suave man & greatest actor. It is a brilliant quote, Lula, It would beyond my apprehension if I havent seen Wild At Heart & Valley Girl(in an illegal way). Thanks for posting
Wow, 33 years is a long, long journey to showbiz commitment huh!! =)) I do believe that NIC is really the best actor. You will never see an actor who's like him! ^^ bravo!!!
I agree Lady Roxanne, and I cannot think of another actor who has such an enduring and constant yet diverse film career!
I have always thought David Lynch must be such an incredible director to work with, as he is a long time proponent of Transcendental Meditation I would be intrigued by his approach and the energy on set, as well as just being around the creative force that produces such genius films. he is a unique director and would love to see him and our uNIC actor to work together again.
I also love Valley Girl and as this is the only time Nic has worked with a female director ( is it? or is my brain on the blip today? ) would love to see Nic work with Martha Coolidge again. I wonder if she is involved with the Valley Girl remake at all?
