Thank you, Lula, that is a beautiful post and in honour of International Woman's Day I am posting this video I just watched, it is a WaterAid film made specially for today, about the impact of not having basic services on women and children. It referrs to certain bodily functions so if you don't want to hear that fundamental truth don't watch it.
We have made many strides since I was a young woman but still so much farther to go. (And sometimes I am afraid we are going backwards.)
and we would none of us be here if it weren't for both women and men, ( until we discover how to do parthenogensis, Charlotte Perkins Gilman "Herland" style! )
