Thank you Roxy, it's true that Sun Yat-Sen and Chiang Kai-Shek had got alot support from the U.S. but I only celebrate Independence Day on 10th October. __________________

I am Canadian, Roxie, so we don't celebrate Independence Day, we have Canada Day on July 1st instead. it was a gorgeous day and I went to the beach and got a sunburn for the occasion! __________________

Ar sorry Lady T keep forgetting your national day is three days ahead of Independence Day, Lady T, it sounds like your holiday was a great one, happy belated Canada Day to you! I don't celebrate national day or attend any colour raising ceremonies but usually really happy a 3-day off from Oct. 1st to 3rd and Mid-Autumn Day is just one day before our national day this year. Must I say Bastille Day to French members in advance? __________________

I wish I could do that Roxy, but I'm one of those who would never take national day seriously, it's great to have such a day to be in honour of those heroes and heroines though. It looks nice, Roxy. The reunion of Germany is an epoch-making event of 20th century. you have any plan for your holiday this year, Roxy? Just noticed we would have a eight-day bank day for Mid-Autumn day and national day countrywide this year, not that shabby. __________________

Yes, it is! The reunion of east- and westgermany! No, actually, I haven`t! To me, this is just an ordinary holiday. But, that`s ok! Maybe, I will cook something special, although, I haven`t decided yet! :) And, eight days of holiday is really NICe!
