Today, to tread the red carpet at the Giffoni Film Festival was the Hollywood actor Nicholas Cage, who before meeting her many admirers of every generation in the appointment scheduled for the section Meet The Jury , has told the press to answer all the questions completely and with the right vein of humor mixed with cynicism that sets it apart for some time. Forced into a jacket of questionable taste, certainly not well suited to the temperature of Salerno, the actor belongs to the family Coppola , has proved helpful and friendly with all the boys who came to steal a picture and an autograph, and dwelling on its past career and future said ...
1) How do you find in southern Italy and what are your future plans?
You probably know more than me. The next film Frozen Ground with John Cusack and is a serial killer in Alaska. He is a murderer and I was the cop who pursues him.
2) You are fond of superheroes, like your passion and in the future You play another comic book character like Ghost Rider?
I do not collect anything really. It was a passion of mine as a kid, I read many comics, but then I realized that the only characters from the comic characters are modeled on the greek mythology - Roman and thus are a role model for kids.
3) She has Italian origins, even if it is Italian-American second generation. Remains an 'identity with this culture? For her it is so?
I am proud that I have Italian blood. I'm fascinated by this culture, mythology, history of this country and are very much in line with the philosophy and atmosphere of the Giffoni. All share the same history and the same experience with joy. I celebrate the culture. We want the kids learn to love each other and, before that adults tell them to hate each other for culture.
4) He will return to work as a director? Or as producer? She never rests ...?
I have no plans to direct or produce in the near future. I've done so many things, but I took a sabbatical year. However I want to focus again on my work as an actor, my main job.
5) Is there a role you would play?
No, and I have no dreams or projects related to superheroes.
6) If you could change the course of life and go back as in The family man, what would change?
This question is a bit 'a trap. But the answer is no. I would say that I have lived these 48 years that do not feel I want to change anything.
7) In his films often comes to travel between worlds and different eras? His relationship with the journey real or imaginary?
Traveling I think is essential, food for thought, you see so many new things and new people.
8) will meet so many guys here who might dream of entering this world of cinema? His advice? The success of what has and what has taken away?
The first thing I would say is that you have a dream and carry it forward, also because there will always be people who will say that is not worth it. There is always someone you down, but for me art in general is essential and can fight crime. If people are angry you can not move them away from crime into permanent artistic way.
10) There is a person who should say thank you?
I thank my mother.
11) What is your relationship with his uncle Francis Ford Coppola? Are you happy with your life?
I'm happy for the whole family Coppola , although I have blue eyes and they do not, I hope that they too are happy to me.
12) Leaving Las Vegas was considered one of his best performances. What do you think?
For me to take a prize or not leave things as they are and we should not get caught by the critics. Happiness is when your loved ones are doing well, the smile of a child, the trees that move with the wind, the ocean ...
13) What child was Nicholas Cage?
I always tried to laugh or make someone laugh.

A great interview! (As always, when he gives one!) There are, indeed, some amusing parts, how google translated it! I don`t know, why they sometimes translate "she" and "her", instead of "he" and "his"! lol. Thanks for posting it, Lady T.! :)

but how dare they criticize his jacket that is (to me) a map of the world!!! I love that jacket!
Nic has such a wealth of experience it really must have been an honour for the young people present to listen to his opinions and advice on the 'world of cinema'.

Great interview, thank you for posting Lady T. Art can fight crime is the timeless truth I guess
You have reminding me of some classic lines from the English Patient Lula, I love that jacket too, but I would have a headache to look at it if I was the guy who's on the left side on the photo.
I adore that jacket, Nic looks great in it! I believe he wore it before when doing GR:SOV pr stuff. Maybe they meant he was too hot in it. They are right, Nic is too hot! Sizzle!
I remember that jacket from his NEXT-promo, when he was at the Letterman-show, Lady T.! He looks indeed hot and gorgeous in it! And, the colours are beautNICful!
