I have copied a few myself, for fear they would disappear someday and we would lose it. I don't really know what is legal, but if someone makes a video and posts it on you tube there are ways to make it so it can't be copied, I think. So I guess the maker means for it to be shared. There are a few that I deeply regret that I did not copy.
