His father took him to the movies when he was 8 years old to watch a Bruce Lee film. That was when he discovered the greatness of the world-famous Hong Kong American martial arts’ star. And a new star was born.
“It is because of Bruce Lee that I became an actor,” Nicolas Cage told Macau Daily Times over the phone from Hong Kong. While shooting “Outcast” with Hayden Christensen in China he wanted to pay his respects to the legendary Asian actor by visiting Bruce’s statue (pictured).
Nicolas Cage was recently in Macau where he was named Best Global Actor in Motion Pictures at China’s Huading Awards held at the Venetian.
At the welcome dinner for the event, Cage hinted at the possibility of moving to Hong Kong and making his base in the South China area. MDT learned that Cage “is really excited” about Macau and willing to make films here and in the region. PC
