Want: This Eyeshadow Called ‘Nic Cage Raking Leaves on a Brisk October Afternoon’
Posted by Julie Gerstein, on November 7, 2013 at 8:45 am
What: Ah, fall: A time to change up your makeup game, and revel in the changing leaves. And Nicolas Cage‘s amazing film catalog. Which is why this amazing eyeshadow—called “Nic Cage Raking Leaves on a Brisk October Afternoon”— is absolutely necessary. It’s made by vegan-friendly “makeup and geekery” company Shiro Cosmetics, and it’s totally a “National Treasure.” Pun intended.
Why: Because you love looking glamorous, almost as much as you love Nic Cage in “Vampire’s Kiss.” (Haven’t seen “Vampire’s Kiss?” Please run out and watch it immediately). Plus, it’s a highly wearable brown shade that’s as flattering as it is funny.
How: Wear the shade alone, or layer with creams and neutral tones. Pair with a gorgeous cat eye, a cozy sweater, and the amazing video of Nic Cage freaking out. Watch on repeat.

Nic Cage Raking Leaves On A Brisk October Afternoon is now a fragrance you can wear. On your body. Much love goes out to Caitlin from Shiro Cosmetics, who took my ridiculous idea and ran with it. Get the (matching?) eyeshadow here: http://www.shirocosmetics.com/catalog.htm?item=222
Leaves. Crisp fall air. Deciduous woods. A black leather jacket, well-loved. Maybe the one he wore in Ghost Rider, because there's also some Egyptian Amber in there reminiscent of some of his more, erm, peculiar character acting habits. A light musk, and just a hint of patchouli and men's aftershave. I might have added a smudge of vanilla bean, but you'd never know it >_> Definitely unisex-leaning-masculine, ie, if you only wear florals or only wear candy scents you'll likely not care for this one, but if you're into things like, say, the old unisex GAP smells, or CK1, or things that smell like the most awesome actor of our time, well, you will most likely really enjoy this.
1/3 oz unisex fragrance oil in rollerball bottle with iconic Nicolas Cage vinyl sticker.
LOL. Those would make two perfect gifts for the NICsteresses (female NICsters), indeed! I wonder, if Nic really smells like that? Really funny and interesting find, Lady T.!

Yeah but I don't get it. Have I missed something here? When I clicked this I imagined some picture of a fan taking a picture of Nicolas Cage in his front garden raking in some leaves... Not this Is it supposed to smell like Nicolas Cage and autumn? Internet is a weird place I'd probably end up buying one because it has Nicolas Cage on it, even if it is just a sticker uh, it's 12:30am, I should just sleep
Ive read this, like, 4 times now... Still makes no sense!
Hmm, I remember from way back a picture of Nic raking leaves somewhere, it was a pap shot I think. Can't find it now though. Also I remember a tweet once from a fan who said he smelled delicious! Good to know, lol!
Oh this is so funny!!!! Wow Nick as a cologne! in raking leaves?? ha ha. I too was thinking of Nick out there raking those leaves. AWWW I love to have him doing that for me. Oh, if he smells like that wow. But I prefer Brut or Obsession for Men on him. Then I would swoon for sure. I love those smells on men. Well, I knew for sure who wore Obsession for men. Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees did. Oh, he smell nice when I met him in person so many times over the years. I'm happy to have met him as well. As with is other brothers Robin and Barry. Nice memories. But Mo as Maurice liked to be called by his fans and family wore Obsession. I forgot the name of his other one he some times wore. Nice scents.
Now if Nick wore those I would be in heaven for sure.
Ya gotta love the pap, a nice man is raking in leaves and they're all like OMG PICTURE. NICOLAS CAGE DOES... THINGS OTHER PEOPLE DO? YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! I DIDNT KNOW HE WAS A PERSON TOO! Anyways gotta love Twitter, that's it, I'm sold! I need one!
