I've been playing Grand Theft Auto San Andreas (again) over the last couple months because every time I played it, it always glitched and I'd have to start again and luckily this time it didn't. And during my play through I noticed movie references everywhere but two notable ones are as follows:
1) Midway through the game you have to buy an airplane graveyard and after you buy it you have gun fights with the police and hijack a plane.
2) Without spoiling too much, although I highly doubt anyone here will play this game, the ending of the game involves the main character chasing a firetruck with someone hanging on the ladder at the back, with the good guys chasing the bad guys.
Is it just a coincidence or do these two references sound a lot like things that happen in Con Air? Besides buying an airfield, of course, the events that happen in the game sound inspired from this movie.
Another reference in another game GTA Liberty City Stories is the name of a mission 'Don in 60 Seconds' it just involves the player driving a crime boss from A to B. So, nothing really movie related there, besides the parody of the name.
There might be more, but I haven't gotten around to them all yet/forgotten!
Oh wow ! I think I should play again at this game ,which is by the way a very cool game! it sounds interesting! thanks to share it :)Maybe developers are fans of Nicolas !
Looks like I was proven wrong, some people here will play it! I hope I didn't spoil much I couldnt have really told what the references were without spoiling a little
