In honour of Nic's fiftieth birthday, which is a very momentous occasion, I thought perhaps we could make our own 'fifty' list, along the lines of the 'Time' piece I just posted. Instead of just facts though, it would be fun to post our own favourite things about Nic. We can use videos, pictures, quotes, etc. to illustrate if we like, or just say it. After all, as Nic super fans we have many reasons to love him. We can just keep posting till we reach 50. I'll start!

6. He's a Shaman

Cage said the ordeal ended after he talked the man out of the house and police arrived. He did not press charges.
I'm pretty sure if it was any other person who saw a man do this they would do all sorts to get him in trouble and try to get compensation (like they need it) but Nicolas Cage handled it like the gentleman he is. Good man
Nicolas Cage was offered roles for some of the biggest franchises of all time that include 'Lord of the Rings' and 'The Matrix' but turned them down due to family commitments.
I've already mentioned this here before so I won't repeat myself But the day I saw Leaving Las Vegas I was a different person and my life had changed I owe many thanks to Nicolas Cage and it is my dream to meet him and thank him He's also helped others, I read reviews for The Family Man and City of Angels which indicate they were inspired Someone has to be very special to do this and that man is Nicolas Cage
I know I already said he was talented but Nicolas Cage can dip into any genre and fit perfectly into any role. Not a fan of action? Why not check out some of his romance films. Comedy not your thing? Check out some of his thrillers!
One of the many reasons why being a Nicolas Cage fan is so amazing! He's never done the same thing twice and he has something for everyone!
I think of World Trade Center also for an example of inspiring. Donating his salary and then giving such a truly moving and heartfelt performance, that says so much.
11. He walks to the beat of his own drum. He chooses his roles and lives his life on his terms, and doesn't seem to really give a hoot if people criticize or make fun of him. He is true to himself. I have always admired people who don't follow the crowd and can be their own person, follow their dream; I think that is one of the reasons Nic appeals to me so much.
12. His co-workers and media pople who interview him all seem to have such positive things to say about him. About his work ethic, what a supportive person he is, and how pleasant he is to be with, those are very telling things. If I am going to admire someoe I want them to be a nice person!

Hi Lady Trueheart and Enzo. Wow, I love that video you put together of Nick not saying a word. How TRUE of a actor he is for showing his side of silence. Not many performers can do that with a lot of emotion in just the look and his wonderful face. He's great to look at anyway. I love all that was said here about his fifty reasons why we love Nicolas Cage! Everything here is true to his word and all so much more. He's a true actor with great love for life and every one. He is his true person as well. No one can do the things he can and don't care about critics and other bad stuff out there about him at all. That is why I'm a hugh fan of his and no other actor Today can come up to him at all in my book. You can enjoy him so much due to the fact he does so much different kind of roles. That can be enjoy by many. He's one of a Kind!

You hear stories of all these Hollywood stars going off the deep end with drugs or sex scandals and things of that nature But with Nicolas Cage it seems to be the opposite, when he was younger, he said he was wild, untamable and hard to work with But now he's a very calm humble man who likes the smaller things in life and is very different to the usual Hollywood star He works because he wants to and does what he likes, not what people expect, like 11. Like 12. he is a very supportive man who cares about others and puts everyone before himself.

He's one true actor with a personality. Not many out there can compete with that at all. No wonder he has many fans loving him. Like all here. Wow!
To me, if Hollywoods directors trust an actor enough to convey the emotions and actions of a real person they must have a lot of faith in them. Nicolas Cage has portrayed more than one real life person and this speaks volumes, more than any award ever could. Starting all the way back in 1986 all the way to 2013. Nicolas Cage continues to prove why he is one of the best in the business. You rock!
