But the wonderful thing about Nicolas Cage is that he approaches good and bad scripts with equal gusto, as if he either doesn't care, or can't tell the difference. Even in poor films his acting is always interesting, a knack he shares with the late Peter O'Toole, and at his best he can generate emotion and energy of Brando-esque proportions.
