Christopher is a very active and proficient filmaker who enjoys educating others on the process of film making especially of the Digital kind. He has his own website and a couple of interactive blogs including this one and one on Facebook. Check them out!
Christopher Coppola is the founder of PAH ( Project Accessible Hollywood ) which makes digital technology accessible to people and communities across the world, to create their own films and projects, during 'PAH fests'.
Here he is talking about PAH in his latest Youtube video!
Well, that was really interesting, a very creative and interesting man, it seems. I think he has the family passion for what he believes in. I may have missed it in the video, but I did not hear how this is funded, I wonder if he funds it himself? Doesn't sound like a moneymaking thing.
This is totally weird and fascinating. Look for the hand shadow patting the dog, that's cool.
Below is the little write up that came with it on the blog. Not sure why it says Oh, Nic,you complete me, because he is not in the film.
Are you familiar with the work of the Kuchars? If not, you should track down the documentary "It Came From Kuchar," which documents their work as truly independent filmmakers on the fringe. I have no idea how Devin stumbled across this, but he ran a short he discovered of George Kuchar visiting Christopher Coppola at the mansion of Nicolas Cage back in the early '90s. And the video is every bit as bizarre as you might hope: Oh, Nic. You complete me.
Wow, thanks for posting Meg, pasta sauce seems to be a theme on this forum this week! lol, I am not sure if Christopher made that particular sauce sound more appetizing or not.... I loved this, it was imaginative and creative...why can't all film be conceived that way..if I ever made a film, (which is unlikely) i would have to be kind of using the medium in interesting ways... had that silent horror movie feel with the music and black and white..and the shadows..mirrors...cool but it was kind of warm too don't you think? the dog on the bed have always loved the look of that fireplace, what a feature!

Actually this particular piece was filmed at Nic's home in San Francisco because Christopher was a student of Mr. Kuchar who is sadly dying of cancer and who had taught at the University in San Francisco.
Christopher recently took a trip to the San Francisco BayArea to be with Mr. Kuchar before he passes.
Thank you Gina, Chistopher has always struck me as a very authentic and caring soul as well a being very creative. I am very sorry to hear about his teacher Mr Kuchar, I will say no more as to respect their privacy.
