Yeah, watch it, it is sad to see the reality of the relief efforts, where did that money go that was diverted? Those scenes brings the news coverage of five years ago back to me, what must it be like for those who live with it everyday?
Nick is a good man, people respond to that too, I think.
I'd like to know the answer to that question too, Lady Trueheart. This is why I feel so thankful for Amnesty, and for Nic as a high profile public figure, for bringing to the surface the questions that need to be asked. That takes not only a good heart and a drive for justice, but a strong will and a level of courage to bring it to the world?
Hey Lula......thanks for sharing the YOUTUBE link. I'm happy to see that Nic is involved in the human rights cause. It's good for his soul to channel energy into helping others when he has so much. The truth is....no matter how much we have or how even how little we have, it's important that each individual and mankind as a whole. gives to each other and back to the communities, countries and in the bigger scheme of things, back to mother earth.

You're welcome White Fay! I was moved when I came across it. I agree with you completely, and it is refreshing to see the unreal world of Hollywood meet the very real world (whatever 'real' is, but you know what I mean!)
From seeing his latest interviews, Nic really does seem to have the bigger picture in his heart. And I also think he has more awareness than perhaps he is allowed to portray at times about how interconnected we all are, physically and spiritually.
I agree with you there...that Nic seems to realize how interconnected human beings really are. I wonder if he's good to the people in his real life or if he just saves it up for strangers....being more comfortable that way? There are alot of people like that, ya know?
Another thing I noticed and thought was a good thing, is that Alice was with him on this tour. I mean....he took a young girl and introduced her to the 'finer' things in life. She could very easily forget the 'little' people having been at such an impressionable age when he found her. I'm not saying she has become self-absorbed or self-indulgent. I just mean that the potential for such a thing is a very real thing when you become immersed in such a priviledged lifestyle at such a young age. You could very easily fall into the trap of believing that you are 'above it all' or 'special' just because of your lifestyle. Wouldn't make for a very happy soul unless you reminded yourself of how 'real' people live, if ya know what I mean..

Yes it was lovely to see Alice there too. Another way of looking at it could be that Alice influences Nic in a positive way!
I agree that it's wonderful both their lives include the bigger picture, without the blinkers that unfortunately keep many people in a state of denial about the world.
For me, I'm not sure age has a thing to do with how aware or committed a person is to the world and human rights, some of the most beautiful hearted spiritually environmentally politically aware people I've met have been younger people and children. It's the so called grown ups who've got the blinkers on!
Amnesty do a lot of great work, they must be really glad to have Nic as a committed voice, and I have no doubt that because of him, more people in the world are aware of Amnesty International and all the work they do for human rights across our world at this time. Particularly with this, the way katrina was handled, the ongoing situation there and the new devastation with the oil spill, and the urgent need for something in place from the government to deal with any future natural and unnatural disasters.
I was particularly struck by Nic's opening speech, about believing you could change the world in 3 days. I believe that too... When each individual awakens to our oneness...not only with each other but with our planet.
