With the repeated use of the word "should" in this article, perhaps this is pure conjecture. But, knowing of Nic's interest in Tesla ( his ideology is the basis for The Sorcerer's Apprentice, and Nic mentioned in an interview that to prepare for the role of Balthazar Blake, he tried to summon up Tesla's spirit ) it's not such a long shot, and would make a very awesome film!
Lol! Yeah Lady T, that tickled me too! I really can't suss the article out at all..... but love to fly with the idea, because like you Voodoo child, think it would be very very cool!
Now to try and dig out that The Sorcerer's Apprentice interview where Nic mentions the spirit of Tesla....anyone know the one I mean?
woohoo! That's it Voodoo child! Such an enjoyable half hour viewing...Thank you so much!
It is such a beautiful story, the Tesla timing 'coincidences' and the pigeon incident, as real homage to Tesla. My apologies to Nic too..he said call up the spirit of Tesla 'figuratively speaking'. So if Nic was born on the day Tesla died...and you believe in reincarnation......!!
NC: Well, there were many magical moments throughout the whole film. One of the more interesting things that comes to mind is Nikola Tesla, and that coincidentally, we wrapped the movie on his birthday. And coincidentally, I found out that the day he died is the same day I was born, and so with that in mind, I went to stay in Nikola Teslas room at the New Yorker Hotel, to try to just see if I could call up the spirits, figuratively speaking, and see what came to me. And then I was in the room and nothing really happened, but something hit the window, and I think it might have been a pigeon, and I read a little bit about Tesla, and I found out those were his friends. He loved pigeons. And he really cared about them, he would take care of them, that was it. That was it for him, his pigeons and his science. So I thought, okay, thats the gift. Im going to try to find a way to put a pigeon in the movie, Im going to fix his leg, and its for you, Nikola Tesla.
