Happyness is like a butterfly. The more you chase it, the more it eludes you. But, if you turn your attention to other things, It comes and sits softly on your shoulder. Henry David Thoreau
Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage. Lao Tzu

Those are some very beautiful and inspiring quotes, Roxie. I really like the one from Picasso, I have never heard that one before. if only I lived like that, instead of thinking about it!
This is, what I thought, Lady T.! That`s why I posted the links to the quotes, used in the vid, in that case! I think, I will edit my post and delete the vid!

Sorry, it doesn't work, Roxy. I the Shakespeare one is so true, the Picasso one is great, but I am afraid the ones from Confucius and Lao-Tzu are all Greek to me, did they really say these words, I know they were human beings too, but the one from Lao-Tzu does look like... I can never imagine Tao Te Jing is something that I could understand at primary school. Thank you for posting them.
Well, as I`m no expert in asian philosophy, I only could post it the way, I, myself found and read it, Tues! You are the expert for that! Maybe, those are more modern interpretations of the original quotes? And, the links with the quotes should work! Don`t they for you?

Hi Roxy, when it comes to philosophy, I'm afraid I am a layperson too, admittedly, I only read Ti Tzu Kui on my own as child. And for me Yi Ching is much more readable than Tao Te Ching in the original, so exactly you are right. I wouldn't call it Asian philosophy, because in my mind, the Occidental and Oriental people had got to know each other very well since the year of 160 AD. But coining the phrase by Yu Qiuyu: 2500 yrs ago, when Greece philosophers standed on the edge of the Aegean Sea, musing on the relationship between men and nature world, Indian philosophers standed on the edge of the Ganges River, musing on the relationship between men and Providence, Chinese philosophers standed on the edge of Yellow River, musing on the relationship between man and man. I kinda agree with him, I wouldn't call it Asian philosophy at any rate. This shell is deadly stubborn, I apologise to you if my alter ego has been a bother. I hate to say this, Roxy. it doesnt work but I hope you dont mind I have a try till tomorrow?? Thank you
Thanks you, for all this interesting informations about occidental and oriental philosophers! And, you aren`t a bother at all! I really appreciate your amazing knowledge, that you bestow on us in your posts! :) And, I`m sorry, to hear that! Usually, the links to the quotes should work! They work for me! Strange, that they doesn`t work for you? I wonder, if the others have the same problem with my links?

My translation is not particularly reliable, but glad you still found it interesting Roxy. I don't think my rambles have anything to do with knowledge, I'm only a regular senior school student, but thank you very much for your kind words No, I only said for myself, Roxy. But I will found a way to see it.
Well, then I hope, you find a way, to open the links! And, I`m really sorry, that my post causes so much trouble for you, Tues! And, your translation is wonderful!

I can see 'em, nice blogs Roxy! And also nice quotes!
Hmm, only the first one I think is bad, I think the answer is pretty obvious, death of course. But, still nice quote! I just shouldn't think about it ^^ Or maybe I should, I have no idea ^^
