Jethro tull...oh my... back in the day I saw them live at festivals, when festival used to be festivals and not just commercial ..just about pefect to see a mna in tight sleaoing around wiht a flute deep in the heart of the Forest of Dean! thanks for the memories Sprocket!!
Lady T, Donna Summer was def revolutionary for the seventies! that particular song i posted is my fave and i think pretty avanced for the time, in terms of trance! the rest of her music my parents destroyed for me by being cheesy embarrassing with it when i was a kid! lol!
talkigo cheesy disco....here is another feelgood song from my very young childhood i recall loving and dancing around and feeling way older than my years!!
I adore Ring My Bell, I sing it all the time in my lovely falsetto! I am rather weird around the house, but I have fun.
I heard this on the radio today, and have been listening to it this evening, I always have enjoyed this music, but Lang Lang's version makes me want to dance and twirl all night long!
I've renewed my deeply felt love for R.E.M. of late. They shift through myriad moods through their career, but I love the moody yet exuberant early songs, that usher you in even as they hint that there may be dangers awaiting to ward off...
Sprocket and Lady T, what an amazing array of eccletic tunes! Loving it!!!!
Okay, I'm not big on rap, but I did enjoy the back-in-the-day raps, like: Rapper's Delight, The Breaks and Apache. I've been looking for one rap tune from back in the day, that I had to search high and low for because I couldn't quite remember how it went... The internet is amazing. By keying in a few of the lyrics I did remember, I was able to find the song and download it from iTunes!
The tune is called "Lets Dance (make your body move)" by the West Street Mob. I know, harsh name but totally innocent and fun rap song! I don't think any of you will know this rap tune. Unfortunately, YouTube doesn't have it but if you'd like to hear a bit of it, I've found it hear. Select the rap tune on the LEFT.
