This here begins my journal where I'm gonna try to use Nic movie titles to tell a story...Please join in to keep it going!
Setting the tone... Background music:
There is a house in New Orleans They call the Rising Sun And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy And God I know I'm one
My mother was a tailor She sewed my new bluejeans My father was a gamblin' man Down in New Orleans
Now the only thing a gambler needs Is a suitcase and trunk And the only time he's satisfied Is when he's on a drunk
------ organ solo ------
Oh mother tell your children Not to do what I have done Spend your lives in sin and misery In the House of the Rising Sun
Well, I got one foot on the platform The other foot on the train I'm goin' back to New Orleans To wear that ball and chain
Well, there is a house in New Orleans They call the Rising Sun And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy And God I know I'm one
Sonny never fancied his life as a Family Man. No, his life was like being Trapped in Paradise, Guarding Tess. He loved Tess but caring for her had become a Kiss of Death. He so wanted to be Gone in 60 Seconds and return to his job as The Weather Man at the World Trade Center...but that too was like Bringing Out the Dead. He needed something different, something lighter...

I've dealt with my ghosts and I've faced all my demons Finally content with a past I regret I've found you find strength in your moments of weakness For once I'm at peace with myself
I've been burdened with blame Trapped in the past for too long I'm movin' on
I've lived in this place and I know all the faces Each one is different but they're always the same They mean me no harm but it's time that I face it They'll never allow me to change
But I never dreamed home Would end up where I don't belong I'm movin' on
I'm movin' on At last I can see life has been patiently waiting for me And I know there's no guarantee's but I'm not alone There comes a time in everyone's life When all you can see are the years passing by And I have made up my mind that those days are gone
I sold what I could and packed what I couldn't Stopped to fill up on my way out of town I've loved like I should but lived like I shouldn't I had to lose everything to find out
Maybe forgiveness will find me Somewhere down this road I'm movin' on I'm movin' on I'm movin' on
He remembered his old girlfriend Zandalee, and the Fast Times At Ridgemont High they used to have. But that all changed when Peggy Sue Got Married, and all the old gang started settling down too. He really just wanted to be Wild At Heart. Maybe he should move to the City Of Angels and just Kick-Ass for awhile.

People say I'm crazy doing what I'm doing Well they give me all kinds of warnings to save me from ruin When I say that I'm o.k. well they look at me kind of strange Surely you're not happy now you no longer play the game
People say I'm lazy dreaming my life away Well they give me all kinds of advice designed to enlighten me When I tell them that I'm doing fine watching shadows on the wall Don't you miss the big time boy you're no longer on the ball
I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round I really love to watch them roll No longer riding on the merry-go-round I just had to let it go
Ah, people asking questions lost in confusion Well I tell them there's no problem, only solutions Well they shake their heads and they look at me as if I've lost my mind I tell them there's no hurry I'm just sitting here doing time
I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round I really love to watch them roll No longer riding on the merry-go-round I just had to let it go I just had to let it go I just had to let it go
Sitting on The Rock in his yard where he sometimes went to get quiet, Sonny realised he never felt like he did fit in, he just had this Knowing since he was a kid he could never tow the line, it would take too much Adaptation from his true self...but those were the Best Of Times where he could just escape for a while into his imagination never worrying about what comes Next....his dream job as a kid was to become a Sorcerer's apprentice...but that was just fantasy...Perhaps he could get into something new and exciting, have a meaning to his life by become a vigilante like one of those Matchstickmen or a Ghost Rider....
You don't have to talk all night, I'm a man who can't say no You don't have to twist my arm, just point me where you want to go
Take me to the action, take me to the track Take me to a party if they're bettin' in the back I've been working all my life, can't afford to wait Let me call my wife so I can tell her I'll be late
I want the easy, easy money, easy money, I could get lucky Oh, things could go right, I want the easy, easy money Easy money, maybe this one time, maybe tonight
You don't have to try too hard, I don't need a song and dance I don't need an invitation, if you've got a game of chance
Take me to the tables, take me to the fights Run me like the numbers, roll me like the dice When you're counting on a killing, always count me in Talk me into losin' just as long as I can win
I want the easy, easy money, easy money, I want the good times Oh, I never had, I want the easy, easy money Oh, I want the good life, I want it bad
Easy money, you say I fool myself, but better me than being a fool for someone else I got a hot slot machine of a system ready to go... Easy money, I got a one-track mind and a good reputation laying on the line I'll either come back a bum or a king, baby I don't know...NICE...
You don't have to start a fire! I'm a man who can't say no If you've got a little risky business, just point me where you want to go
Take me to the power, take me to the heat Take me to the cleaners if it's open to the street Something's got to pay off, something's got to break Someone's got a fortune that they're begging me to take
I want the easy, easy money, easy money, I could get lucky Things could go right, I want the easy, easy money Easy money, maybe just this time, oh maybe tonight
Easy money, oh, I don't want no hard cash I just want the easy money...oh...I could get lucky Oh, count, count, count, count, count, haaa ha ha! Oh I’ve got some love now babyOh I’ve got just a little easy money.
He was feeling a little Moonstruck tonight, restless, unfocused. Suddenly the memory of his Honeymoon In Vegas came back to him, the rush of excitement at the crap table. Nothing like it, better than G-Force really, that is until he started throwing all those Snake Eyes. Hey, that was it, he'd call up Amos and Andrew, they were always up for a good time. Have to keep an eye on Amos though, with his criminal record. You know what they say, 'once a Con' - Air head though he was. And he wasn't Leaving Las Vegas till he won the jackpot either, like the commercial says, It Could Happen to You!

like Credeance Clear Water Revival Susie-Q, my brothers use to sing that to me... and This Diamond Ring doesn't shine for me anymore not like it did once before, I use to dance to it made my brothers and sister laugh! Once my sister was eating spaghetti when the song came on and she laughed so hard the spaghetti came out of her nose, I don't know how the hell it happened, but that was even funnier..
Sorry, can't figure out a song to go with this one......
Nope, Sonny wasn't LEAVING LAS VEGAS till he had won the big one and was wearing a Million Dollar Winner's MEDALLION around his neck. Just KNOWING that Amos and Andrew were right now on their way into Vegas was enough to tell him what he had to do NEXT. He had to head over to that dive of a GRINDHOUSE and get a couple of rooms for his old buddies to crash in. Knowing them as well as he did, he knew that they'd already have been partying hard and that they'd be GONE IN SIXTY SECONDS once they saw a soft pillow lying in wait for them. He guffawed as he envisioned both of them doing a DEADFALL onto their mattresses. No problem tho. Their reunion plans could be adapted just a bit. Hey! ADAPTATION was the key to life, baby. The key to life.

Sonny was on his way over to the Grindhouse when he started to feel hungry, so he stopped at a late-night diner and browsed the menu. 'Say,' he said to the waitress, 'what is this Rumble Fish, I haven't heard of that before?' 'Oh,' she said, 'that's our house specialty, beer-battered fish fried in butter, so rich it makes your tummy rumble for hours after you eat it.' 'Hot damn, I'll try that!' he said happily. But he lived to regret it. He felt so good after he ate that he forgot all about Amos and Andrew and decided to take a drive in his rental car out into the valley. There was a full moon and soon he was speeding, Racing With The Moon over the empty roads. it sure is beautiful here, he thought, wouldn't it be great if I could meet a Valley Girl and maybe take her dancing to The Cotton Club and have some fun? But that reminded him of his troubles at home with Tess and he suddenly saw that he could not avoid the issue anymore. The only thing he had brought into the marriage was his copy of The Boy In Blue portrait. Or was that The Blue Boy? He could never remember. Was it time to take it off the wall and move out of the house? But there was one important thing that made it so hard to do, the one thing they had in common anymore, he and Tess, was that they were both Raising Arizona. The joy of his life, that dog, a stray they found when they were on vacation in Phoenix one year. They both loved her, and it would be cruel to take her away from her home. If it came to a Face/Off he didn't know what he would do. Suddenly something loomed up on the road ahead, he slammed on his brakes and...
