Wow....it's been fun here for the past 24 hours.....Officially we got 21" of snow dumped on us with wind howling over 50mph. Looking out my window this morning, my jaw dropped. The snow had drifted at least six feet up our neighbors wall. Not sure how long it's gonna take to dig out from this one but we Chi-towners take this stuff in stride. Last night we had nine teens crashing here and this morning the hub and I cooked up 3# of bacon and 40 slices of french toast to feed the crew. Now they are outside shoveling and snowblowing the neighborhood. I've got a pot of chili cooking and one of chicken noodle soup. Hot toddies, anyone? :)
Anyhooo....We took some pictures and I'm hoping to be able to upload them. Not sure how to do it on my son's computer so wish me luck.

Sounds like fun and hard work with the snow. I love snow but hate being out in it its awkward to move about in good fun though when your not walking in it . Sledging is the best part of the snow . want some in the uk now . glad your ok hope its not too disruptive the snow , take care .
the heel in my shoe came off in the snow! I'm walking around without a heel on my shoe, take a good month or more to get a new pair, since they have to be made. I fll on some black ice, and they gave me Vicodin, I'll be damn if I can find the bottle , I think someone swiped it out of my apartment, maybe that sounds paranoid, but where the hell did it go!
Thanks All.....the way I look at things like this is that they are an adventure.....you make the best of it and do it in a happy way since to do otherwise means you bring upon yourself negativity. As long as people are safe, warm, healthy and fed, all is well.
