Oh thank you Lady Trueheart, one of my all time favourite Beatles songs! What a cool video too.
" Love is All and Love is Everyone" I totally resonate with this song.
and what a journey through this thread, I am glad you posted Amy Winehhouse lady T, I love her voice..... and what list of love songs could ever be complete without that one of a kind songstress Celine Dion, you chose a classic Wyvern....she's so tiny with such a massive voice!
Here is another tender and exquisite song originally sung by Roberta Flack...but covered many a time.I am going to post all three of these versions because i cannot decide which one I prefer...
(edit to say it has to be Celine Dion's version, her voice gives me spine tingles!)
First Time Ever I saw Your Face
The first time ever I saw your face I thought the sun rose in your eyes And the moon and the stars were the gifts you gave To the dark and the end of the skies
And the first time ever I kissed your mouth I felt the earth move in my hand Like the trembling heart of a captive bird That was there at my command, my love
And the first time ever I lay with you I felt your heart so close to mine And I knew our joy would fill the earth And last, till the end of time, my love
The first time ever I saw your face
Your face
Your face
Your face...

I will always love you is a very classic but a very beautiful song :)
I know, everytime (after I watched city of angels) I get tears in my eyes when I hear that song! realy such a romantic movie, but also so sad at the end.

I'm still undecided about which I prefer! I like the clean guitar line in the Cure's version, but I absolutely adore Jessica's voice and in few places more than this cover! They were fairly short lived, which has the clear advantage that they have one absolutely essential album: 'Clear Hearts Grey Flowers' which is nigh-on perfect.
