Yep, I watched the movie tonight for the first time, and it was fun to watch. Saw some really good character actors in there, Richard Jenkins, who was also in Trapped In Paradise, as the wife's lawyer, and Red Buttons as Charlie's lawyer, and Stanley Tucci, lol! He also was in Kiss of Death. And he did that actors thingy with Nic last year. J.E.Freeman, who also was in Wild At Heart, and Seymour Cassel, who was in Sonny. Be interesting to check out how many actors have done more than one movie with Nic. Quite a few, I suppose, since Nic has done quite a few movies! The soundtrack was great, too, lots of classics that I like. Sweet and romantic, Yvonne and Charlie were adorable. It certainly is a good movie for Valentine's Day! And I could watch it with my mother without being embarrassed, that is a plus too. But boy oh boy, can you imagine having to be in the same room with Rosie Perez for any length of time, that voice would drive you crazy! I have to say, though, that I am a very shallow woman, because the stand-out part of the movie was Nic in those tight jeans walking down the street, and in the roller skating scene.
Ahhh you chose the perfect movie for a Valentine's feel Lady trueheart, it is both very romantic and has that lightness to it but without being too cheesy! A perfect rainy day movie, for me.
Check you out actor spotting, I wouldn't have noticed all that! My favourite part is the dancing cheek to cheek in the restaurant .... so romantic Charlie is such a lovely and loveable man.
Here is our fave critic, Roger Ebert, on It Could Happen To You
That is a NICe review, I love how Ebert can channel my thoughts so well!! And, according to some posts at IMDb, it is based on a true story of a cop in NY who shared his winning with a waitress he promised it too, as in the movie, but no romance happened between them.
Waiting for someone to post a pic of Nic in his tight jeans.

I thought I recognised your syntax when I first met you Lady True.. couldn't quite put my finger on it...it was Ebert channelling you all these years!!
Well I could def imagine the scenario of promsing half the lottery winnings or a tip, and if you are an honorable person there would def be follow through without question! by the way, wasn't that a hot air balloon I saw flying over the castel earlier?
Glad you enjoyed the movie. This is a favorite Nic flick of my sister and me :). And we also love the soundtrack. Young At Heart is the song that we would sing while riding on the way :). I just love the ending with the hot air balloon and the scene where:
Yvonne: Because of me, you have nothing. Charlie: Because of you, I have you.
:)
Didn't know that the director of the movie also directed The Freshman. LOVE that movie!
