Drive Angry (in Brazil, Fúria Sobre Rodas), which opened in Brazil last weekend, topped the box office in the country, raising almost R$ 1.9 million (more than $ 1.1 million) between Friday and Sunday.
Until now, the film took more than 140 000 people to cinemas.

hi Cristina, your english is pretty good, thank you for bring us the gond news..i'm quite a shy person,ha ha maybe many girls are too shy to see a x-rated film in public,so even if it would be show in our local theatre,i won't go to the cinema, seeing the movie on dvd would fit me better,i think
What excellent news Cristina, your country clearly has impeccable taste in movies!! thank you for sharing this happy bit of news!
Am I right in thinking that Season Of The Witch also opened top of the box office in Brazil too?
These days i seem to be more in the company of females than males, virtually and in real life, and ALL of them who have seen it, loved Drive Angry! I do agree though that the internet seems to be more buzzing with fanboys around this movie..but in reality I am not seeing any gender divide over it.
Thanks! I must say that I use translator. :) But I know a little of the language, so it helps me correct some misunderstandings. I'm better in reading than in writing or listening.
About the girls feel uncomfortable watching movies with hottest scenes in public, I agree. I am also one of them, haha!

Yes, Season of the Witch debuted at the top of the box office and, if I remember correctly, it remained so for another week. \0/
This reaction that I speak of is exactly what I read on the internet. Women seem to be more resistant to enjoy the movie. Men are always more enthusiastic.
