If you were able to invite 3 Nicolas Cage characters from any of his films to a dinner party hosted by you, who would you invite and why?
Imagine if you will, that you could enter their movie in the middle of it's making, and invite them off set (think Woody Allen's Purple Rose Of Cairo!) and their character is very much as they are in the film.
What would you want to ask them or learn from them?
Would you offer any advice?
What would you eat?
Where would the dinner party be?
Have as much fun as you like with this!
(you can host different dinner parties if you were to change your mood for a different three characters!)
Hi Kitty! thanks for playing along, oooh....it sounds like one very cool dinner party, a hyper intelligent talking mole is bound to be an excellent guest and I can see you have gone for the intelligent conversation!
Perhaps you would find a way to invite them...carrier fly to Speckles, microfilm message to Stanley, code that magically appears in Ben's bathwater ...

Great topic question! I'll have to think on this a bit....A dinner party is at its' most successful when you have an interesting mix of characters.....

My first dinner party will be tete a tete. I will invite Seth to my dinner party as I have many things I would like to discuss with him. The point in the movie I wish to meet him is before he has met Maggie. (Just in case I take his fancy, you see!)
I will serve pears poached in red wine, as a poignant indicator, and at the same time ask him to look into his future, I feel sure an angel can do that. Then, I will ask him if he will make the same choice. What do you think he will reply?
We will dine al fresco at the beach at sunset, so that he can commune with the beautiful music only he can hear. ( It just occurred to me that I will be dining by myself, lol, as Seth probably exists on air. ) So, perhaps only the one course of pears will do.
I'll be sure to write my number on a card to give him when we part, just in case he wants to look me up in his his future life!

I have been overthinking this in typical Lula style which is silly becasue i know immediately who I want at my first dinner oarty..i just cannot come up with the peripheral info right now...
Balthazar Blake, thousand year old Master Sorcerer of the 777th degree,
Johnny Blaze, who walks in both worlds
and for my final guest i cannot decide between
Behmen, conflicted knight ex crusader hero
or Seth, ex celestial being!
My reason for these choices is they all have experience of other dimensions and are not restricted to one reality. I dont know if we would eat or just journey across the astral planes and stars!
oh....your tete a tete sounds so beautiful lady T... the music on the beach at dawn.... sublime....I am longing to hear who your other guests will be...
something tells me Terence Macdonagh would not be the ideal dinner partly guest..(depending what you are into) he may spend more time sneaking off to the bathroom..
I've always thought the perfect first date would be a lovely picnic near a waterfall! No need for grandiosity! A soft blanket, white wine, some fried chicken, perhaps a large pickle could be pulled out at just the right time......
