The actor, 47, who was arrested for alleged domestic abuse and disturbing the peace after an allegedly drunken argument with his wife in New Orleans last month, won't be prosecuted. "The New Orleans District Attorney has confirmed that no charges of any kind will be pursued against him," Cage's attorney Harry Rosenberg tells PEOPLE. "After their investigation, the DAs refused all charges against Nick and the matter has been closed." Rosenberg added: "We are pleased that the process led to the correct result, despite inaccurate media reports, and that Nick has been cleared and all charges have been dropped." This is wonderful news, and I sincerely hope that it is accurate reporting. Given the quote from his lawyer, I believe that it is. It must be a tremendous relief for Nic and his family. I feel very happy for him and hope that the media blitz will die down now. __________________

This is wonderful news to wake up to today! Thank you for posting Lady Trueheart. Alongside my feelings of gladness, i can't help but feel the bigger injustice and reflect on which is the worse 'crime' the wrongful arrest or the defamation of character and persistant persecution by the press. I bet he is infinitely thankful that this whole brouhaha didn't go the distance. Now maybe the tides will turn for him and he'll stop being the celeb people love to hate. I wish him luck! Woo! I'm glad to hear it! Not only would a prison spell or community service have been rotten for the family and Nic, it would have interrupted his work schedule! ;D Seriously though, I'm glad that it came to nothing and that, hopefully, the media will give the man some rest! __________________

Great News Indeed!!! I'm so happy for Nic and his family for this and hope all goes well for him. That the media stop reporting bad things about the guy.
