We already have the 'Love Me Tender' scene from Wild At Heart posted in various places of the Castle, and we recently found out that was Nic's most memorable scene to shoot on a movie! But the preceding moments are also favourites of mine!
Indeed..and delivered in epic Cage / Lynchian style! Laura Dern is a fabulous as ever too... and not forgetting the fairy godmother in her shimmering pink ball of love!
I had to share this here because of the topic title and also because in another thread peeps are talking of the infinite sky behind the clouds. Not to mention my name is in the song.....LOL! Anyhooo, this morning when I climbed into my car to head to work, I turned the knob to turn the radio on. It didn't come on immediately and all of a sudden this song started playing. I literally haven't heard this song in years before this morning but oh....it immediately seemed so appropriate to this thread and I wanted to share it with you when I finally had a moment today. Call me nutty. But enjoy anyway!

INTO THE MYSTIC by VAN MORRISON
We were born before the wind Also younger than the sun Ere the bonnie boat was won as we sailed into the mystic Hark, now hear the sailors cry Smell the sea and feel the sky Let your soul and spirit fly into the mystic
And when that fog horn blows I will be coming home And when the fog horn blows I want to hear it I don't have to fear it
And I want to rock your gypsy soul Just like way back in the days of old And magnificently we will flow into the mystic
When that fog horn blows you know I will be coming home And when that fog horn whistle blows I got to hear it I don't have to fear it
And I want to rock your gypsy soul Just like way back in the days of old And together we will flow into the mystic Come on girl...

I am SO looking forward to Nic doing another movie with Lynch -- WHEN???
EXACTLY!!! I can't remember where, but I think i said this exact thing the other day, after i had a dream of an enitre Lynchian film starring Nic and it was sublime! i was so upset to forget it when i woke up! (seesm ssuitable to experienvce a Lynch film ina dreamscape!)These two are a wonderful match for an aspect of Nic's acting that i would love to see take it's turn on the cat walk again! a film richly textured multilayered, with both those unique Nic touches and Lynchian tones that both bring to film. Let's start a petition!
