The whole gay marriage issue to me epitomizes the arbritariness of our society, as well as the issues of inequality and injustice. I say arbritary because for me personally marriage as a civic allowed concept means very little, the celebration, bonding and committment in a public ceremony does ,but not the actual allowed by 'law' bit, why should such a sacred union have anything to do with or only be allowed by some institiution ? but at the same time if that law exists, it should not discriminate against anybody for any reason whatsoever and the idea of it doing so I absolutely abhor.
