This interview from Fangoria has new bits to it, Nic says that Ghost Rider is more 'new wave' filmmaking and not part of his Vincent Price/ Christopher Lee-esque body of work, like Season of The Witch!
Interesting how he mentions the GR filming locations here.. they really must infuse their energy into the film. you can kind of see where the interviewer was gong with the eastern european /dracula influence of the landscape.
Nice to see an interviewer try to come up with a different question, instead of the same old thing, they must get tired of answering the same stuff all the time.
We still haven't heard if Dracula is in the movie, have we? Also, wasn't there a rumour Christpher Walken was making a cameo in it? That'd be cool. Yes, the location is going to be a real factor in the movie, I think. Those caves, and mines, were they salt mines, really atmospheric.
I didn't catch that rumour about Christopher Walken, but that would be so very awesome, Nic and he together...? wow! A film with those two in the same scene would be freakin unbelievable!! Christopher Lambert is def in it though?!
We do know that it is filmed near the gates of Dracula's castle Lady T! or atleast I think so...did I dream that?
But you know what Meg...I do recall in the recent interviews Dracula's castle being mentioned! i will have to go through them all again..what torture!! lol.
Corvin castle is a definite because they filmed there, the castle built by a fairy as legend has it,
I also definitey recall Neveldine and Taylor mentioning on their Twitter during GR2 filming a surprise cameo..and around that time they mentioned Anthony Head... a man i find hard to take seriously after his bean shaking Nescafe days!
I know little about Christopher Lambert's work, so that is a surprise to come. And Nic got to work with Sir Christopher Lee in Season of The Witch of course!
Christopher Lambert - The Highlander movies, Mortal Combat! couldn't live with my dh and not have seen those movie about 20 times and counting! LOL! He is odd yet somehow endearing and creepy at the same time.
I recall Nic saying he would love to, or maybe saying they should shoot at Dracula's castle in an interview, but I don't recall actually reading that they did so. But I hope you find that they did, it would be so cool!!!
Lol! Mortal Combat and the first Highlander movie is the extent of it for me I'm afraid Lady T! hardly in a position to speculate about him in GR2 as you can see, lol!! wonder what character he will play?!?!?!
I will have a look through the interviews this very afternoon m'lady!
Last week news surfaced that Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance would befilming in Romania this autumn and that it will be shot in 3D.
While talking to MTV Nicolas Cage mentioned something that may be a hint at the plot.
“I’ll be filming it in Romania, which is exciting, since that’s where Dracula’s castle is,” Cage revealed. “The Ghost Rider has to ride up to Dracula’s castle.”
Does that mean Johnny Blaze will be going head to head with Dracula or is Cage just talking about a cool looking castle?
Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor are directing and so far Cage is the only casting news we know.
Do you want to see Ghost Rider go up against Dracula?
