I agree with Sprocket that Cher is an interesting actress. She is one tough cookie on and off the screen. I love how Nic credits her with his career taking off as she was the one that insisted Nic play the role of Ronny... Gosh, he was so young back then.
haha I was astonished at the notion of someone not thinking to get a ring!! Though he is characterised as a clutz! I mean, I'm useless at such things, but even that one wouldn't pass me by!
ah, I should have took that moonstruck image I had as signature again today. But the movie indeed is special, and not like other romantic movies, there happen things wich are a bit sad but you never feel sad. Well so it was to me, it came over very positive

Lol! i am so absorbed in t he movie i never think of that! it does seem to fit Johnny's character somehow! despite the director insisting on realism in films, there is a very subtle almost surrealism in this movie for me..
magnetically pulled in from the start Lady L, by the moon, the suggestion of romance...tenderness is good word, there really is beautifulness in all differnet shades in this film
And, everyone in there, are looking for love and romance. And, in a way, some of them, like Loretta and Ronny are finding them in the end. It is so romantNIC!

unlike a lot of romance films, it's not about adolescent love or even first love - it's about actually living with a partner and growing old with them, accepting each other's families etc.
I also think that the movie comes over very serious in the begin, but then it there is a turn and it still is pretty serious but also funny in a way, like the passion comes in

yes lady A! all under the power of the all seeing moon!
lol, i know everyone wants to get to the bit where Nic enters the film! who knew as soon as Johnny mentioned his 'younger brother' romance was going to bloom?!?!
NICely put Lady L..there s something transcendent about it, and beyond our wanting or thinking mind, this is what the moon means to me, in this movie, that there are things bigger than us, perhaps things that are determined? after all, what wolf can control it's natural destiny under the full moon !
