I am thrilled to see these tweets, I have always had a really great feeling about this movie since I first heard of it, now if I could only see for myself!
I know you said that tongue in cheek, Lula, but I am inclined to think Europeans judge movies differently from here in North America, in a broad sense of course. I think it is all about show and the new big thing here a lot. Less emphasis on performance and more on the wow factor.
Interesting comment Meg! I don't know, I may be naive, but i am unable to find that broad sense, it feels to me that there is not really a core culture in this country that is anything more than a stereotype, we are multicultural and with that, i think also highly individual in our subjective experience and excpectations of films. If i just think of the people around me, there is alot of diversity in taste and world views and outlooks on everything including movies! and then if i think of the people i know from other countries, the same diversity!
Maybe that is why it is so pleaseing for me to see these coments on Justice, because it seems to be appealing broadly, to a diverse range of people that are in this country!
One thing I do know for sure though, as a group of people, Nicolas Cage fans are exceptionally discerning with exceptional taste!!!!
