I just found this Variety article mentioning the writer of upcoming Nic / Simon West movie 'Stolen'  interesting, so thought I would post it!

Also, did we know that 'Stolen' is with Millenium Films?

Interesting, Lula. Good potential for 'Stolen', it seems to me.

I remember reading that it was a Millenium production when it first was in the news about this movie, but had forgotten about it. I tihnk Drive Angry was Millenium too?

Millenium hasn't handled Nicolas' films well lately. Sure, BL:POCNO was a classic film by Herzog and Nic but was basically straight to DVD. Drive Angry was a Box Office failure and Stolen looks it may suffer the same fate. The title is terrible and wished the title Taken wasn't already well......Taken.....CLC.....just saying....I love Nic but hopefully GR:SOV will help Nic out next year.

Personally I am really looking forward to this film, whatever it's name may be! flowerface Simon West directing and Guggenheim writing, makes an exciting proposition for a very decent action thriller, set against a vibrant backdrop of New Orleans Mardis Gras, all delivered to us by the most nuanced action thriller man ever, Mr Nicolas Cage! starry

i think we can be happy if it gets the same amount of attention as trespass. i dont know why but i dont have so much good feelings about the distribution yet.

Why be negative? Remember what Nic himself has said, and Cristina has as her signature,

As long as I am still capable of entertaining my audience, I am a glad man.

I am just going to continue to be as glad as I can be that he is here to entertain and enthrall us with his art.

I am not trying to be negative at all, but the concept of father saves daughter was just done really well by Liam Neeson a couple years ago and by changing the name from something original to Stolen, sounds like a straight to dvd to me. I wish Nic was the lead in Safe House, which stars Denzel as a rouge agent since it is more original and I believe Nic would play a great baddie. I am tired of him being the good guy and concerned vengeful father or husband. I think a different role would do him wonders instead of Trespass or Stolen. Just my thoughts.....CLC

Is the namechange really that worse? For me, the most important thing is, that Nic playes in it!And, that it will be another proof of his NICtastic, awesome acting skills! So, I think, instead of moaning about the different name, we should instead support this movie and should be looking forward to see it! At least, that`s what I think about it!

Yes, as i said few posts back, excited for this movie! not only because it is Simon West and Nic together again, but the whole ambience of the film from the glimpses we have seen during shooting looked awesome!

clc, your big bugbear earlier this year was that Nic was doing supernatural movies and not enough thrillers, now he has done 2 in a row and a third coming....there is still nothing to like or be excited about?

Speaking for myself as a fan I am astounded at how Nic keeps bringing new waves of fresh material and taking on new things! There were moments in Justice that I had not seen in Nic's acting before! I am looking forward to seeing how he brings his chaarcter to life in 'Stolen. starry

Lula, I am excited for GR:SOV and Stolen and Frank or Francis and Black Butterfly. I guess my frustration come in when the scrip/screenplay that is laid into the directors and producers hands, I find it annoying that the original title of the screenplay/film is changed after the initial filming. I just enjoy movie titles that peak my interest. Films like Children of Men, 12 Monkeys, The Ghost and the Darkness all are great films with intreaging titles. Nic's films such as Wild at Heart and Bringing Out the Dead and Red Rock West are all great films with interesting titles. That is all I am getting at. Hungry Rabbit Jumps and Drive Angry are neat titles and so is The Frozen Ground. I just dont like lame titles I suppose no matter who is the actor. CLC

I agree to clc!

so i was a bit frustrated that i didnt hear anything about stolen so i tries to find something. the only thing i found was on this

http://www.millenniumfilms.com/ProjectDetails.aspx?projectId=c396a29b-d9a7-45f2-9dd8-a2c6d6424bf3

the good thing is the discription some things i havnt heard before, the bad is the poster.

I hope its not a officiall one because thats even worse then trespass, i could have made a better one!

a trailer woud be cool, but i dont know when the movie will hit theatres and remember how late we saw the trespass trailer.
