He may have said this though, and it is almost the same. I got this quote some time ago from I don't know where and I can't confirm it from a source now.
'"Dracula is one of my favourite characters in literature. Much of my lifestyle is modeled after him. I don't drink blood, but otherwise..."I just admire the sensibility. The Gothic decor of my homes is inspired by it. To me Dracula is love in exile. I'm very inspired by that idea."'
And I have heard that about Nic and the cobra before, Lula, so I'd say that is a yes!
The Hollywood actor was in South Africa. He explains, "I was going home from work and there was a cobra in the road...and I said, 'This animal's beautiful! Back up the car. Let's look at it.' "The cobra saw us and he reared up his head he hissed at us and then he lunged at the car and attacked the tyre of the car we were in. "That night, I went home and I had a dream about the snake and I thought, 'Man, I'd like to have a snake waist. That animal has a 2-inch waist, I'd like to be snake-waisted.' I'm a 32, so I've been working out ever since. I cut the portions down and went to 5 to 8 miles of running (each day)." He adds of his newfound appreciation of running, "It's great. I don't wanna sound like I'm bragging, or anything, but I do feel like I'm breaking through different barriers when I run. It's like a meditation of sorts."
We await you Fact or fiction Nic challenge, Lady T!
Correct both of you, here is the quote I got it from. Lady A's turn next!
"At four, I used to have this terrible nightmare that I was on the toilet and this giant blonde genie woman in a gold bikini would reach into the bathroom window like King Kong and pluck me off of the toilet seat and laugh at me. My father would come into my room when I was screaming and say, 'Think of the white horse. The white horse will come and take your bad dreams away.' And it did. I would meditate on the white horse. I would visualize it in the black. Now I say that to my son, Weston." These and other dreams pervaded my childhood. I was scared of many things."
Ah! the gold bikini was there! I wonder..was this before Princess Leia? Mind you..she did not have blonde hair! I love the bit about the white horse too.....a beautiful creature coming to the rescue!
Thanks for posting that pic from SOTW, Lula! Exactly the same pic came to my mind too, as I read the part with the white horse! What a magNICal coincidence! How wonderful! And, that horse is really beautiful!
Ok. We all know, that Nic loves all animal. Especially, the exotic ones. So, he once owned two king-cobras, named Delilah and Moby. Fact or Fiction?

Yes, you are right Lula! He had those 2 snakes. I only made one name up: The fact is, that the two names were Moby and Sheeba (and not Delilah). He mentioned the snakes and their names on the "Letterman-Show", where he promoted his film "matchstick men". So, I say, it`s your turn for the next challenge, Lula!

The Hell Cycle (the bike that transformed from Grace, when Johnny Blaze transormed into Ghost Rider) on the first GHOST RIDER movie was a remodelling of an existing Harley Davidson chopper that was ridden by Peter Fonda in 'Easy Rider'!
te he!! it is FICTION, though it is a bt of a trick question because none of the actual original bikes, including the one ridden by Peter fonda in the film Easy Rider was a custom Harley chopper built by a guy called Ben Hardy, are in existence still ..one was burnt during filming and the remaining 3 'disappeared' at the end of filming..but... who knows where they ended up?!?!?!
BUT 'Grace' in the 2007 Ghost Rider film was designed an built by Kirk Petrucelli, who said in the extras on the 2 disc Extended Cut Ghost Rider dvd:
"Grace is actually based upon a classic bike, which we all admire, and Peter Fonda was very much involved with, and we took a classic hardtail Harley Davidson [note: same model as Easy Rider something to do with no rear suspension I may be wrong] and then ever so sligtly customized it to what we needed."
When Grace transitions into the Hellcycle, quite extensiive remodelling had to be done to the basic model, as they cranked up the design to the max to creat that epic bike! fibreglass mouldings were added and the engine had to be made smaller because of the weight, but it was still an obvious chopper Harley!
Interesting tidbits:
Antique Harleys were used to create the set outside the 'Texas' biker 'Broken Bone saloon' in teh Ghsot Ride film
Peter Fonda, who plays Mephistopheles in Ghost rider, has the line, "nice bike" which is an obvious nod to Easy Rider
check out a cool video blog on the hell cycle with director Mark Steven Johnson:
but if you really want the lowdown, I totally recommend the extras on the 2 disc extended cut Ghost Rider dvd (which has lots of other cool stuff on it too!)
