That is a really good one, eva! Well, I never heard about "the spirit", but I know, that he once played in a small homemovie, made by his brother christopher, a superman-kind like character, with a Superman-S on his t-shirt and a green lantern ring. So, I say, it`s Fiction!

I believe you are right, Lady Trueheart! and how cool it would have been to be Nic's friend as a kid! When I was young, a group of us who lived on the same street used to hang out and we'd spend hours putting on plays, making the costumes and all that.,i think Nic would have been the star of the show every time!

Okay then. I mentioned in another thread that Nic and the singer Aaron Neville were in Zandalee together, but I wonder if you know that they have another connection. I read this ages ago in an article, can't find it now, but it sounded true, and it was a reputable source, I think. Aaron has a wonderfully distinctive singing voice and Nic admires him as an artist very much, and when Nic was in New Orleans he used to get together with Aaron for karaoke, at Aaron's own night club, they sang together, and Nic sang on his own too. One of the songs they did together was 'You've Lost That Loving Feeling'. This article was an old one, cached, so I don't know if it still happens.

FACT or FICTION?

During the filming of The Rock, Nic wrote several of his own lines while sitting in his trailer, and because he didn't have time to memorize them had to take cue cards on set?!

It certainly is true Lady True, according to Sir Nicolas himself in the audio commentary for The Rock dvd, a transcript of which people can read here!

I love that Nic wrote many of his own lines in The Rock, I am curious too as to which ones, there are so many zingers in the film!
