Ladies,

The challenge started on the 1st. Our daily goal is 1667 words in order to reach 50,000 words by the 30th. My first day I did 2017, my seconde 1830, and today 2627. So I'm doing well and I'm finding Phaser is an absolute hoot to write! If your interested you can check out the site, www.nanowrimo.org

I've been told December is NaNoEdMo, national novel editing month. Who knows Phaser may come out in a book LOL

Yes I'll be writing every day this month and will be so happy when I can announce I've completed the challenge. Then it'll be back to the personal editing of EPIPHANY, then it'll be off to the editor.

Oh and I will be doing a few illustrations for THE GALAXY ACCORDING TO PHASER SPANGLES. I'll post those in the art area here as I get them done.

I truly love doing this. It keeps my mind active, keeps my creative and best of all it keeps Mr. Nictabulous in my mind's eye.

Remember Phaser is only 18 years old...His eyes are deep red and he's not from around here. (Here being Earth).

Thank you so much Lady Tru, yes he's a cutie patootie. I'm having a great deal of fun writing Phaser. I love Al Magarelli to pieces, but it's good to take a break from his particular brand of angst. This last Magarelli book was a difficult write what with all the terrible things Alee was seeing thanks to a serial killer.

Phaser's a crazy boy, a bit of a rascal, always in trouble with the establishment -- but not seriously.  He's the equivalent of that silly class clown of a kid who seemed to have a second residence in the principals office at school, if he'd ever finished school. Skinny Mr Spitball.  Space will never be the same, ! Phaser's drivin' no survivin'!

Thanks Lady Roxie! I'm  having a great deal of fun with Phaser. Can you hear the nicvoice?  Are you liking Phaser? I find myself liking the character a lot. So young and hot-headed, but basically a good kid.

This is one I can continue to post here, cuz it's a 'just for fun' piece. Sort of honing my skills with it.

I could read that, Cajun! It was really a fun read, especially the accent, they are speaking! And, indeed! I could so hear a young Nic`s voice in that character! Looking foward to read more of it!

I imagine Phaser having an accent kind of similar to Cameron Poe. Dyzaal is a planet that's alot like the old west. Always with the shoot outs and bar fights. LOL. Also Phaser wasn't too big on school as a child so he actually doesn't read or write very well. This will be revealed later on.

I'm having a nictastic time writing this. 

You know, I think he sounds just a little more like H.I. ...I just wrote a scene where he thinks his ship has been stolen. Somehow I just couldn't hear "Put the Freighter BACK in the Bay."  a la Poe....but more the panicking richochet off the walls voice of HI.  LOL.  A total FLAIL.  I think as he ages he'll evolve into the more serious Poe-like attitude. But one thing Cameron Poe was not was silly. Phaser is always going to have a silly side.

Question:   Should I make it's own topic for THE GALAXY ACCORDING TO PHASER SPANGLES, because I will mostly likely be posting the whole novel here in chapters bit by bit. I bow to your Bhudda wisdom.
