Hello.  I am a member who joined last year but have never posted so I hope I am doing this right.  I am sure everyone has seen the new tattoos on Nic's right forearm, however they are very difficult to see.  Well, I have been interested in when he got it and I finally found the answer. 

I found this a few days ago. 

The sound of buzzing needles is less threatening at Creation Tattoo in Jianwai Soho, a sophisticated space. "Nicholas Cage [the famous American actor] was here two weeks ago to get two tattoos," recalled Zhang Xin, manager of the studio. Apparently Cage paid 20,000 yuan to get a rattlesnake and a horse's head on his skin. "People do it for passion, to signal a period of their lives or merely because they're bored," noted Zhang.

 

20,000 yuan is $3,000 USD

Hi Royaltraveler, nice to see you posting. Yes, I remember when Nic was in Beijing last time that one of our members, Tues manIc, posted something about him getting a tattoo there. This would seem to be the same time. Hope you will continue to post, we always enjoy hearing from our members!

I think I had read about it, but I didn't knew it was a cobra and a horse head!:)

The tattoo was driving me crazy.  I just needed to know what it was and when he got it since it was so new.  My digging really paid off.

And the tatoo artist Jia Jia who did this new tatoo for Nic did reveal its whereabouts at my request, it's on his right forehand and he also told it was related to Califonia, I understand he was referring to rattlesnakes now.

Hi royaltraveler and welcome on posting here. You did just fine. I don't post as often but I still check this wonderful website as much as I can. Busy here on the farm. I live in Rockwood, PA.
Anyway, love Nic's tatoos too and wonder how many he has now. I lost count.

Hello  I think Nic has 6 tattoos now.

1-lizard with top hat and cane on his back.

2-demon on top on his left arm

3-ghostrider on bottom on his left arm

4-lion or tigeron his right arm

5-horses head on his top (I think) right forearm

6-rattlesnake on his bottom (I think) right forearm

Your right Lady.  I forgot about that one.  Probably because we rarely ever see it.  That makes 7 tattoos.  Any guess as to what it is?
